Reese Witherspoon

The Oscar-winning actress and mom of two, 34, turned to exercise to deal with the stress of her divorce from Ryan Phillippe in 2007. Reese hit the road running -- literally -- three or four times weekly, and she shaped up with her trainer Michael George, who also suggested that she add more colorful produce to her diet. The newly engaged star also spiced up her workouts with spinning and YogaHop, a 90-minute Hatha Yoga class set to hip-hop, rock, and pop music.

Jennifer Aniston

At one time Jennifer, 41, thought of exercise as a chore, but when she split from husband Brad Pitt in 2005, she realized she wanted more out of her workout. She turned to yoga for two-hour sessions three times a week with trainer Mandy Ingber, which helped her recover from the divorce and tune into her body. Jennifer also runs and eats a healthy diet of lean protein, fruit, and veggies, with the occasional splurge on chips with salsa.

Eva Longoria Parker

Eva, who filed for divorce from basketball player Tony Parker last fall, looked amazing at this year's Golden Globes. The Desperate Housewives star, 35, prefers to exercise at home three to four times weekly with a trainer. She constantly changes her routine to keep her body challenged and to prevent boredom. (BTW, Eva is no slouch when it comes to fitness knowledge: She graduated with a degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M!) Eva added more vegetables to her diet after reading the book Skinny Bitch, which promotes the virtues of a vegan diet, but she generally believes in moderation in the form of the occasional slice of pizza or a chocolate chip cookie.

Sandra Bullock

Payback never looked so good than when Sandra appeared at the Spike TV Guys Choice Awards in June 2010, three months after ditching husband Jesse James. The Academy Award-winning actress stays in screen-ready shape by mixing up her fitness program. Pilates, plyometrics, kickboxing, strength training, and dance (her favorite) are all in her routine. To keep her diet on track, Sandra, 46, plans her meals one week at a time (brown rice, steamed veggies, and black beans are mainstays), scheduling one cheat day for indulging.

Kate Winslet

The day Kate's split went public in March 2010, she was spotted on a boat looking terrific in a bikini! Women everywhere love the way she embraces her curves. Kate's no fan of diets and believes in all foods in moderation, including sweets. The 35-year-old actress has a very low-key fitness routine too: She pops in a Pilates DVD for 20 minutes daily so that she can stay active even when her schedule is packed.

Mila Kunis

The Black Swan star, 27, dropped 20 pounds in five months (a 1,200-calorie diet and five hour workouts seven days each week did the trick!) to play a ballerina in the movie, but she has now returned to her usual healthy weight of about 115 pounds -- and she looks fantastic. After breaking up with her boyfriend of eight years, Macaulay Culkin, Mila burned up the red carpet at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Elin Nordegren

After a difficult and very public split from Tiger Woods in late 2009, Elin turned to fitness to cope with the stress. She started training for a triathlon and was seen biking in her Orlando neighborhood almost every day. The 31-year-old former model sets a good active example for her two kids: She's often spotted on the way to or heading home from a gym session.

Courteney Cox

Late last year, the Cougar Town actress, 46, separated from her husband of 11 years, David Arquette. While he checked into rehab, Courteney, mom to 6-year-old daughter Coco, continued to challenge herself with hour-and-a-half-long Tracy Anderson Method workouts. "I love to eat," she has said. "I'd rather work out harder and eat what I want."

January Jones

Just after her split from Saturday Night Live's Jason Sudeikis became public, the Mad Men star showed off her knockout body on the Golden Globes red carpet. January is set to portray Emma Frost in the upcoming X Men: First Class movie, hitting theaters this summer. To prep for the "very body conscious" role, she lifted weights, but didn't follow a strict fitness or eating plan. She also enjoys hiking, yoga, and tennis.

Halle Berry

After her breakup with baby daddy Gabriel Aubry, Halle, 44, mom of two-year-old daughter, Nahla, is looking better than ever. The Academy Award winner has sculpted her amazing body with celebrity trainers Harley Pasternak and Ramona Braganza; kickboxing, stair climbing, and strength training are her favorite activities. Halle has said that as a diabetic she has extra incentive to take care of herself. She sticks to a diet packed with fresh vegetables, lean meats, pasta, and plenty of water, and limits her consumption of red meat.

Shakira

The 33-year-old singer broke up with her boyfriend of 11 years, Antonio de la Rua, in August. She's not wallowing, though. Shakira has continued her workouts that she says make her "sweat like a pig," and she has been baring her envy-worthy abs during her current world tour. Besides dancing several hours a day, Shakira loves dance aerobics and ab exercises. Her low-fat diet includes fish, fresh produce, and the occasional chocolate splurge.

Charlize Theron

After nine years together Charlize broke it off with boyfriend Stuart Townsend in January 2010. Since then, her body has looked more toned than ever. One of Charlize's stay-in-shape tricks: She eats six meals a day. She says she'd rather eat smaller portions of her favorite foods, like burgers, than cut them out all together. Charlize loves exercise, including ice skating, squash, and running.

Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett and her husband of more than two years, actor Ryan Reynolds, amicably broke it off in December. Now the 26-year-old actress with the stellar body is back on the market. Scarlett strives for a balanced diet filled with fruits, vegetables, and lean protein, and she commits herself to at least 30 minutes of exercise daily. Cardio, balance, coordination, and core work are all on Scarlett's agenda, as well as strength training moves like planks, push-ups, and lunges.

The lengths these women go to get these bodies is not FITNESS. It's starvation. Please don't advocate drastic measures to get thin.
