The Diet: Paleo Solution proponents believe that our early ancestors' whole-foods diet is healthier than our modern (superprocessed) regimen. That means no chips or cookies or even prepackaged "healthy" foods, like yogurt. Instead you eat three to four meals daily of four to eight ounces of lean protein (chicken, turkey, or seafood), raw or lightly cooked vegetables, and healthy fat (oils or nuts). Daily caloric intake hovers around 1,200 to 1,400.
The Tester: The Sweets Addict, Christian McKenzie, 29
"My weakness is cookies and cake," Christian admits. When she noticed that her energy was low and she had put on about seven pounds, she joined a gym and started reducing portion sizes. Christian stopped gaining but didn't drop any weight, so she needed to kick things up a notch.

the question is where are the carbs because Protein and fats are not a good source of energy. With this diet I predict fatigue and exhaustion and possible injury because of the lack of energy
2/16/2012 09:46:55 PM Report AbuseWheat has opiods & thus is highly addictive. One might experience headaches, but would we suggest remaining a drug addict because the withdrawal symptoms might be painful? You have done a great disservice by suggesting adding beans. No benefits mentioned. The tsunami is coming... soon, more awareness of Paleo & people will give it a try despite misinformation about it being difficult to stick with. It's easy ¿ except for those who have absolutely no interest in their own quality of life.
12/13/2011 01:42:16 PM Report AbuseThis is less than 500 frigging words. One CANNOT post here!!! I've had to watch five commercials so far. Paleo rocks - your site does not! Now - to the next commercial...
12/13/2011 01:40:26 PM Report AbuseThere is NO calorie restriction with Paleo. Paleo is one of very few diets (using that word to describe "eating food" and not "loose weight") that addresses food quality. Paleo cannot be described as a "Crash Diet" by any stretch of the imagination, it is a decision to take control of one's health for the better :-)
