Hey, guys. Elessa here for Pursebuzz. Today, I'm going to be talking about the spring and summer trends of 2011. Mostly lots of little dresses I wanted to show you guys. Some cute ideas for you, maybe you're looking for some dresses and you're trying to figure out what's hot and what's not so I'm gonna show you some ideas out there that you can pick up.

There's really lots of different styles. Pretty much everything is super cute with the bright colors, lots of oranges and purples and some white color so there's lots of pretty cute dresses you can get at Nordstrom's, at Marshalls, at Ross. You can go to Macy's, so I just wanted to show you some of the cute stuff that I picked up. So, for this season, it's all about flowers, lace, florals, a little bit of rock and roll, pretty much the same things we saw last year with a little bit of a twist. So the very first outfit that I have on right here is a strapless dress. It's very floral. It has a black dark background,

and I finished up the dress with this rock and roll belt here with the little bit of studs. It actually came with the dress so for those of you who don't think it really belongs, well, it actually belonged with this outfit right here. You can also wear, you know, different kinds of belts that you like. Maybe you want a pop of red or something like that, or you can just go without it, so this is something that's really cute. It's a great idea where you can go from spring and even nighttime, a little bit of pizazz and here it is. You can see it's a short skirt. It's got a little bit of a tulle on the bottom,

and it flares. I think it's great for dinner. It's great for a night out. It's great for the daytime, just matched with some flip-flops or some heels and you're good to go. So this next dress right here is really cute. It's inexpensive. It's great for almost any figure. It has a nice cinching up here. It actually holds up here if you can't wear strapless. I recommend ones that have the elastic thread that goes all the way around, and then right here, it just kind of flows out to a nice flowed skirt, and it has pockets.

Something I do not recommend is putting heavy things in these pockets because it's going to slip off of you really quickly 'cause it is a strapless dress. Now, you'll notice the detailing below. It has this piping right here that's black and then on the bottom, it has about a 3 to 4-inch ruffle on the bottom that just makes it a little bit longer than the traditional style that they made last year so I think it's really cute. It's really simple. You just put this on and you're good to go. You wear this over a bathing suit or you can just wear it as is. It's still a little bit a darker fabric for those of you who don't want to be too springy,

but it's got flowers and it has ruffles and it's just super cute. So this next dress right here I think is perfect for like a nice weekend day or just somewhere, maybe you're going out for lunch, a nice brunch dress, or something for church where you wear a little bit-- cover up your shoulders, of course, but I think it's very nice. It has great soft colors. Another dress trends are ones that are short in the front and longer in the back. So this one right here is great for those who aren't really comfortable for going short in the front and long in the back,

and right here you can see there's a little bit of an opening right here, almost like a curtain, and so it's short, it opens up in the front, shows a little tulle, and then it's longer in the back, so I think it's really cute. I think it's great for really any shape because it's hidden underneath the flowing dress and you can wear this with like nude shoes, nude wedges, some flip-flops, something that doesn't really distract from the subtle colors on the top. This next dress right here is my absolute favorite. I think it's great. It totally should replace your little black dress for those night outs 'cause it's springy,

it's got the beautiful watercolors. It's form fitting and you can pick this one up at Macy's. It has a cute sweetheart neckline. I think it's great to have to have a live character and it has a lot of designs without really taking away from the dress. You can see the pattern's really distracting, it's really fun, and it also has this cute gathering right here, so it's very summery, it's very springtime, it's really form fitting. I think it's perfect for a night out, a date, and you can just wear it with like a little clutch.

As you can see, a nude-colored pair of shoes won't really take away from the dress. It really just enhances your legs by lengthening them. Maybe even the same color, so, if you wanna go with something that's real simple and cheap for your feet, maybe some mushing shoes, and here's another cute dress for those of you who don't want too much pattern, so what you can do is go with something solid on the top or on the bottom. This one right here really accentuates your shape because you got the solid and then you have the light pattern below. This one also has a cute [unk] in the front or in the back, on the side, wherever you want. It's got little pockets right here,

which, again, I don't recommend you really putting anything too heavy in there, but it's super cute, it's super comfortable. The only thing is, it's a little high maintenance because it may get a little wrinkly, like right here as you sit down, but other than that, it's very comfortable. It also has a nice hem right above your knee so that you're not wearing something too, too short but I think it's really cute. It's very summery, and it can transition from day to night. So a couple of other trendy styles are maxi dresses. I'm not gonna put this one on but as you can see, it's super long.

There's ones with slits on it, there's ones that are sheer, just like this one right here. There's all different kinds out there and depending on what you're looking for, so pretty much the trend is dresses and skirts for the springtime so if you like your leg, you don't like your leg, there's options for everyone, and if you wanna really show some legs, there's like little tiny romper numbers like this. This one came from Arden B., just slip it on over a bathing suit or you can just slip it on as is, wear some flip-flops, or even some cute little pumps or something like that if you're going out oat night.

Not really something I would wear but I like to just wear some flip-flops 'cause it's cute, it's breathy, it's perfect for the spring and summertime and it's really effortless. So this is another style of dress that's pretty popular. It's coming back in style. It was really popular in 2009 but it's trickling back and this one right here, it's called-- it actually starts with a P. I'm not 100% sure how to pronounce it so I'll go write the word here in the text box but you can see, this one right here came from Windsor's, and what it is, it's almost like a one-piece dress with a little bit of an extra ruffle. I think it's great to give you some shape,

for those who have like a boy shape, the string bean, or whatever you wanna call it. In the back, it has this great detailing of like this bow and this opening right here so you wear it with like, maybe even like a colorful tube top, it would get really fun [unk], or you can wear some sticky bras in the front, but it's really fun, it's great. They have some Betsey Johnson. These came from Windsor's, I've seen it at Charlotte Russe. They're all over the place, so, pick up something that you like. Here's some fun, spring ideas for you, and hopefully one of these dresses will give you some great ideas when you go out there shopping for your summer and spring dresses. Remember, flowers, laces, ruffles,

a little bit of rock and roll studs here and there, not too much, and really it's been the same kind of style it is for the past few years but just changing it up just a little bit like the maxi dress, going a little bit more sheer, and definitely look for those fun watercolor flower dresses 'cause I think they're so beautiful, they're fun, and they're really easy like you don't have to put on your shirt and pants or anything, you just put on the dress, and some heels, some flip-flops, and you're good to go. Thanks again for joining me at Pursebuzz.com and I can't wait to see what you guys picked up this summer and spring season.
