Spinach Salad With Strawberries

Ingredients

  • 2 cups  baby spinach
  • 1 cup  shredded romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup  sliced strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons  sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup  broccoli florets
  • 1 chopped hard-boiled egg
  • 1/4 cup  kidney beans
  • 8 croutons
  • 2 tablespoons  vinaigrette

Directions

Make it:

1. Combine all salad ingredients and drizzle with dressing.

the body does need that healthy fat...or rather healthy oils and fatty acids...it is already a salad..not a chicken tikka makhani that is laden with butter and cream. Once again...tis healthy fat i think!

I would eliminate the eggs, beans and brocolli. I would replace them with apples, granola, cucumber and tomato. Trader Joe's Low Fat Balsamic Dressing is the best on this salad. 25 calories and no fat!

if you eliminate the egg yolk, sunflower seeds, and the croutons i am sure the fat grams will be reduced ....and use a fat free vinagarette instead
