"Stretching expedites recovery and improves circulation, making you feel more energetic and possibly reducing muscle soreness after your workout," says Comana. To get a bigger boost, do full-body stretching for at least five minutes after exercising.

Good advice but how do you hydrate 1 to 2 hours before your workout when, like me, you work out at 5:30 am? I try to drink water on my way down to the gym and during and after my workout..unfortunately that's all I can do.
