The Half-Marathon Diaries

COMING SOON! Follow our blogger-runners ("blungers?") as they train for the MORE|FITNESS Women's Half-Marathon in April. The full entries and your chance to comment will be ready soon, but until then, here's a taste of what's to come...
The Beginner: Marla

Hey there FITNESS readers! I never thought I would actually have the guts to sign up to run a half-marathon.

I've always wanted to train for something like this, but let's be real: We all say we want to do things and then never actually get around to doing them, or come up with a million and one reasons why we can't. The first hurdle though was signing up (which I obviously did) so now there is no way out.

Plus, I had just gotten out of a relationship and was feeling like I needed to do something drastic, yet not entirely life-changing....

Check back soon for more about Marla's progress!

The Veteran: Susan

I'm Susan, a mom to two very young boys and full-time employee, and I'll be running the MORE|FITNESS Half-Marathon on April 3rd.

I'm active and love to exercise, but up until a few years ago, I really disliked running. Right after I had my second son, I decided to try running a bit more to get me back in shape to fit exercise into my schedule. And I was hooked! Now I run as often as I can, but I'm not fast -- and the funny thing is that I still don't consider myself a runner.

I'm nervous about fitting the time into my busy schedule to train properly, but I'm excited....

Check back soon for more about Susan's progress!
