Birth Control Pills
What should I do if I accidentally lose a birth control pill?

"Don't skip it," says FITNESS advisory board member Carolyn Westhoff, M.D. "Take the last active pill -- the 21st pill in a three-week-on, one-week-off cycle -- from your pack as a substitute, then continue as normal. You'll start your next pack one day early, but it's fine for your body."

Take two the next day to make up for the lost pill. When I lost a pill and did not take two the next day, I developed a huge rash in my region. Other studies recommend that pregnancy or death or serious illness may occur.
