    The Look: The Moderate High Slit

    Take a cue from Jennifer Lawrence and show a little leg this summer! The extra length makes the trend look classy -- and perfect for summer days or nights.

  • The Move: Goblet Squat

    Targets butt, quads, inner thighs, and hamstrings

    • Stand with feet wider than shoulder-width apart, toes turned out, holding handle of a single dumbbell vertically with both hands in front of chest (like a goblet), elbows bent out to sides.
    • Squat, bending knees 90 degrees.
    • MAKE IT HARDER: Holding weight in place, jump up slightly as you rise out of squat, landing with knees soft.
    • Do 2 to 3 sets of 15 to 20 reps.

    The Look: The Sky-High Slit

  • The Move: Door Hinge

    Targets glutei maximus, medius, and minimus

    • Standing, bend at hips to rest right forearm on chair back, and squeeze a rolled-up towel behind left knee, foot flexed; place left hand on hip
    • Tuck pelvis, lift left knee out to side; bring knee in toward chest and then behind you. Do 10 reps.
    • With knee behind you, do 20 press-back pulses: Bring left leg toward right 1 inch, then back again. Switch sides; repeat.

    The Look: The Hip-Hugging High Slit

    For a dress that hugs your curves and shows off your legs like Salma Hayek's, you'll need a toning twofer that hits all the right muscles.

  • The Move: Window Washer

    Targets abs, hips, butt, and thighs

    • Start on floor in full plank position, feet together, hands directly under shoulders.
    • Keeping hips parallel to floor, lift left foot slightly and tap out to left as far up as you can. Return to start.
    • Do 10 reps, switch sides and repeat. Do 3 sets.

    • Stand with feet slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, holding handle of kettlebell with both hands, arms in front of thighs, palms in.
    • Squat, keeping chest open and back flat, and hinge forward from hips as you swing kettlebell with control through legs behind you.

  • The Move: Paddleboard

    Targets arms, abs, butt, and legs

    • Stand with feet hip-width apart, holding a single dumbbell with both hands, elbows bent slightly out to sides and hands in front of chest.
    • Squat, hinging forward from hips 45 degrees, and twist torso to left, extending arms so that dumbbell is by left hip.
    • Return to start and repeat, this time twisting to right.
    • Do 20 reps, alternating sides
