5/7/2013 01:54:15 PM Report AbuseThere are 3,500 calories in a pound. In order to lose a pound, someone must go into a calorie deficit by both eating healthy AND working out. A pound a week will be lost if the calorie deficit reaches 3,500 per week. No one will lose weight by changing eating habits alone. Keep in mind this is something learned in a general university nutrition course and needs to be tailored to the specific individual is a healthy way.

6/20/2012 03:12:43 PM Report AbuseYou assume I want to throw away hard-earned money on prepared foods, and you assume I live where these foods are readily available. You don't even take into account that I may have a physical disability that precludes some of the exercises and that alternatives would be nice. 5/30/2012 08:53:19 AM Report AbuseThe Calorie Needs Calculator said for my age, weight and exercise routine, I should at least consume 2,194 calories daily. I disagree with that since I have always focused on about 1,200 - 1,300 daily and have felt good maintaining that. If I consumed that daily, I would actually gain weight than keep it off.
