Lady Gaga's Workout and Diet

standing row
Dori Thies
Lady Gaga doesn't just dance to stay in amazing shape. We got her workout and diet from her trainer, Harley Pasternak.

Dumbbell Row

  • Stand with feet hip-width apart and knees slightly bent, arms extended, holding dumbbells with palms facing each other. Lean forward about 45 degrees from hips.
  • Bend elbows 90 degrees and pull them up toward ceiling, keeping arms close to sides.
  • Do 20 reps.

She really does do the 5 factor diet for food. But as far as exercising, she also does a ton of yoga, dancing, she probably runs, and lifts heavier weights.

I'm pretty sure all the crazy dancing has more to do with her workout than this. You should call it "A couple of exercises Lady Gaga does"...as this is not a workout.

I am tired of women's fitness magazines representing a "strength" workout using 5lb dumbells! This is the kind of advise that keeps women from succeeding with their goals in the gym. If women want to lose weight and get "toned" (ie add muscle) they need to lift heavier weights with fewer reps and add some muscle (in ADDITION to higher rep workouts and interval training.) And no ladies, you won't bulk up.
