Top 10 Workout DVDs of 2011

We asked more than 80 women like you to do the legwork (arms, abs, and butt work too!) on the latest releases. Here are the titles that will take your at-home routine to the next level.

Best Total-Body Trimmer

Bob Harper Inside Out Method Pure Burn Super Strength ($15, amazon.com)

What you'll need: a pair of 3- to 10-pound dumbbells

Calories burned:* 64 per 20-minute routine, 572 per 67-minute circuit

Why we love it: This "all business" head-to-toe workout shows another side of Harper, The Biggest Loser's good cop. "Bob really pushes you to do more reps," testers say. They hustled through nonstop multimuscle strength moves, like biceps curls in squat position and jumping lunges using a dumbbell. "You hear one of the exercisers on the DVD pant, 'This is crazy!'" Testers dug the countdown clock at the bottom of the screen. "This DVD won't waste your time." Try the 20-minute segment as a primer for the full circuit.

Great slide of the Best total-Body Trimmer. It reminds me of some of the best fitness DVDs that I use at home. I am currently using P90X and Tony Horton does a lot of the same exercises in those DVDs. Working out at home to a DVD that is full of good motivation and great exercises is definately the way to go in my book! Thanks for the reviews. http://revupforfitness.com/

Good workout article for sure. Nice to know that they have new DVDs in 2011 for workouts but that you can still have them for movies :) http://www.filmcrave.com/dvd_new.php.

What weight group are these calorie estimates based on? I can't seem to find it. Is it based on a woman who weighs 140, 150...?

Terrific article! It's so very helpful to know as much about a workout DVD as you can before you buy one! This list offers the best of everything,... and I recommend if anyone wants something really different, loads of fun and sweat-worthy, try some belly dancing DVDs!! Rachel Brice, Jenna, Autumn Ward, Jillianna to name a few,....
