I want to revise my answer...not only did I not burn 300 calories (only 156), I wound up severely bruising my foot from all of the uphill running on the treadmill's incline resulting in plantar fascitis! I'm a relatively in shape gal and now have not been able to workout in over a week which resulted in a weight gain. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROGRAM. (sorry)

Only burned 156 calories and yes, minute 6-7 is missing. Wish it burned 300 calories though! That would have been awesome!

I cannot run. The fastest I go on a treadmill is 2.1, with an incline of 5. I ambulate with a cane from my accident, 10 years ago.

Although the interval for 6-7 is missing, I enjoyed this work out! I burned 200 calories in 1.2 miles.

I walk with a cane after my motorcycle accident in '02. I can't do MOST of these exercises!! Does Fitness Magazine recommend anything that us, crippled, can do to lose-weight/gain-muscle?

I've done 300 calories easily! But with an hour, not 20 minutes and by doing "a mixed" routine/already made program on the thread mill and putting in a max incline of 15 doing 2.5 to 3.5mph with a little bit of running and walking. =D I love it!

yeah this didnt work...i was really excited when i saw it only took 20 minutes but when i was at 10 minutes and barely at 100 calories, my enthusiasm began to drop. pretty much what everyone else said, i only burned (according to the treadmill) about 130ish cal. and it didnt even feel like i had worked that hard, so i did an extra 10 minutes of actual running and inclines. a little disappointed, the title of this workout should be changed

Treadmills don't exactly measure calorie burning accurately. Unless you're wearing some kind of sportwatch thats tracking your heart rate constantly, the treadmill is only offering up average or approximate calories burned

I couldn't remember the exact directions so I did 20mn - started at 4.0mph and 5% incline, then every minute either went up a notch or back to 5, like 5%, 6%, 5%, 7%, 5%, 8% then down to one the same way - burned 152 calories, barely 1.3 miles, but it felt like a really good workout either way and the time flew by.

I tried this and It does not burn 300 calories. 120 Max. I am 139 lb. followed to a T. I had to do another 18 min. hills at 4.5 mph and 9.0 to 11.0 incline to get the equvelent.

I was disappointed on the calorie's burned...not 300!only half! Didn't want to do the work out twice because that would defeat the purpose of a 20 min workout!

I did this work out last night and my stats were: 128 calories burned, 1.31 miles, 20:04. And I didn't notice that part of the workout was missing b/t minutes 6 and 7 until I was already on the treadmill. I improvised; I started minute 7 early and jogged 4.5 at 2 incline.

did the same thing... even increases the incline and did it for 5 extra minutes and i BARELY burned 200.. so even calling it a 200 calorie challenge would be a lie and i weigh 145

My husband did this first, and burned 160 calories. Then, I saw all of the comments, so I increased my speed by 1 mph on each line and got a whopping 220...they are WAY WAY OFF! No way is this going to burn 300 calories.

Only burned about 150 for me as well (according to my treadmill). You would have to weigh 300lbs to burn 300 cals if that is the way it works.

i did this today and burned 110 calories. i'm 126 pounds and 5'2 so i'm assuming calorie loss is based on someone that weighs more, but geez what a waste of 20 minutes if i just burned off 110 calories.
