Meet the Web Staff

Stephanie Jones Wagle, Site Director
Stephanie has directed the editorial operations of FitnessMagazine.com since December 2005. Yoga and family bike rides are her favorite fitness activities; creating great tools, helping readers reach their goals, and working with the rest of the FITNESS staff are her favorite work-related activities. Stephanie's career includes stints as the Senior Health Editor of BHG.com and LHJ.com, editorial director at About.com, and product manager at AmericanBaby.com. She got her start working at Simon & Schuster's Web division, SimonSays.com, when Amazon only sold books. Though she's lived in New York City since 1997, Stephanie is a New Englander at heart -- she was born and raised in Maine and is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College. When she's not working, Stephanie loves being a new mom to her son Jack and spending time with her husband Joe. Cooking, NPR's Bryant Park Project, and gabbing with friends make her even happier.

Kristen Diederich, Editor
Kristen came to Meredith Interactive in October 2007 after serving as the editor of a variety of health and fitness Web sites. She managed the online programs of several fitness personalities, including Denise Austin, Harley Pasternak, and Jillian Michaels, as well The Sonoma Diet, The Duke Diet, and DrLauraBerman.com. Kristen is a graduate of Pratt Institute and another native New Englander, having grown up in the (very) tiny lakeside town of Raymond, Maine. In her free time, Kristen enjoys running, reading, thrift store treasure hunting, and searching for Red Sox-friendly hangouts in NYC.

Jocelyn Voo, Special Projects Editor
Originally a California transplant, Jocelyn has a soft spot for big hair and surfer slang. After graduating from U.C. Berkeley, she relocated to New York City and wrote for a variety of publications, including CNN.com, the New York Post, New York Magazine online, and Psychology Today, before joining FitnessMagazine.com. She loves fine dining and dirty dancing, and spends far too much time indulging her love/hate relationship with the Internet. Above all, she enjoys words and people and food and spontaneity and laughter and lunacy. But mostly laughter and lunacy.

Alexis Webster, Contributing Editor
The writer of FitnessMagazine.com's Weekly Update newsletter, Alexis has been a Meredith Interactive contributor since 2003. After graduating from Connecticut College, she moved to New York City, where she held positions from peon to producer at a number of media/advertising companies including Condé Nast, About.com, and LOWE, New York. Alexis returned to her native New England to pursue a graduate degree in education at Brown University, and is currently teaching history and English at an urban high school in Providence, Rhode Island.

Laura Brodsky, Community Manager
Laura has been the Community Manager for Meredith since 2007, working as an online Host for BHG.com since 2004. She fell in love with exercise when she mistakenly signed up for kickboxing while looking for a Tai Chi class. Since then, she has taken up Tae Kwon Do, kickboxing, yoga, tennis and walking. She has an English degree from Muhlenberg College and has been working/participating in online forums since 1997, when she joined her first message board. She is a happily married mom to two active boys.

Marianne Magno, Editorial Intern
Marianne joined Meredith Interactive in March 2008 after interning for Parenting.com, Brides magazine, and Seventeen.com. She graduated from St. John's University with a degree in journalism. In her free time, Marianne loves to try out new foods, watch bad television, go through every magazine she can get her hands on, travel, and spend quality time with her family and friends. She functions best when highly caffeinated.

Amanda Repine, Production Manager
Amanda grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and graduated from Drake University with a degree in journalism. She started working with the BHG.com team as a freelancer in 2001 and joined the staff full-time at the end of 2003. In her free time, Amanda enjoys traveling, reading, and baking.

Yuzhi Yang, Senior Producer
Yuzhi came to America as a teen and after spending her college years in the South, she's now happy to be back in New York City. Her extensive Web experience includes helping start up onebigtable.com, a "foodie" Web site. In her free time, Yuzhi loves making beaded jewelry. She feels blessed working on the Web in such an exciting time, and especially on a site that helps and encourages women to be the best version of themselves.

I just called Customer Service at 1-888-616-7679...They said that everyone gets the "request renewal" regardless of where you are in your subscription. You can call them to confirm that your subscription continues until May 2012 (if you signed up and paid for the 3-year subscription in April 2009).

Woah...I'm in the same boat. I received a "special" promo in April and paid $16.97 to receive a three-year subscription to Fitness Magazine. I paid and receive the maganize monthly; however, I have been getting "renewal requests" for the past 4 or 5 months...and I'm only 6 months into my 36-month subscription. I can't seem to find a phone number to contact anyone regarding this issue. Please help!

I've been notified that you are charging me for a subscription, but I have never ordered anything. Funny how the Fitness logo seems to be a knock off and you have no phone number...how dumb do you think we are. Get off the internet and stop harassing everyone! I'm reporting you to the Better Business Borough

Wow, I am concerned because I am going through the same thing as Yaniraacosta and Kathi. I have renewed my subscription, however, keep receiving invoices that I need to pay or else it will be cancelled. And how can you not have a phone number on your Web site?? I really enjoy this magazine, but may need to find another one if this is happening to more than just me.
