Why the Bikini Body Workout Works

These FITNESS readers tested our workout, and they're living proof that it gets results. Here's why they loved the plan (beyond tighter abs and firmer butts and thighs), and why you will, too!

1. It's efficient. Trainer Morgan Luzier has created a circuit workout that alternates strength and cardio. Result: Your heart rate stays elevated, so you'll optimize fat burn and blast significantly more calories than you would with a traditional strength plan.

2. It's got variety. Progressing through different phases of the circuit and switching up the intensity and duration of your cardio sessions keeps things fresh. And because you're always working your muscles in different ways, you'll see faster results.

3. It tones your middle. A strong midsection is vital to virtually every move you make, from squats to push-ups. So when it's strong, everything else benefits.

4. You'll get a serious energy boost. Every woman who completed our program reported feeling significantly more energetic after the workouts and throughout the day.

5. You'll feel fabulous! Yes, feeling good in a tankini is worth its weight in gold, but it's the whole package that counts -- more energy, more confidence, and a super mood!

What I loved about this workout: "At the beginning I had to walk a few times to finish a 1.5-mile lap around a reservoir. Now I can easily run it twice."

I agree, there is almost no difference other than clothes, posture, smiles on faces versus none. I guess we could interpret this as skip the diet, buy a new one piece suit and stand 3/4 view to the camera instead of straight forward, and get a perky look on your face. I think you could do this better. And to have to watch a Crest ad before submitting a comment is too manipulative for me!

the biggest difference i've seen is that each of these women has had a professional do their hair and makeup and a stylist pick out their clothes in the 2nd pic... if they are saying they are more toned and feeling/looking better, maybe they are, but the visible difference isn't that huge to make me wanna get into the bikini body workout...

As for the size 2 lady, I'm glad she saw she gained a little weight and decided to stop it, instead of letting it get out of hand and then dealing with it. How many of us have done that?

If the intent is to motivate women about losing weight, you need to have women who significant (15 or more lbs) to lose and then show pictures that clearly shows the difference. These examples don't motivate anyone.

I have found that you have to click the "After" photo to see the "before" photo, and then it is only very small, not the big view. Even then, I saw very little difference. Maybe if they were wearing the same clothes the before picture was taken in?

I agree. Maybe you forgot to include the "before" or "after" of all of these! Who can relate to someone who's upset about being a size 4, but "finally fits in a 2"!
