Here's an age-by-age chart:- 1-3 years of age: 500mg
- 4-8 years: 800mg
- 9-18 years: 1,300mg
- During pregnancy & lactation: 1,000-1,200mg
- Adults: 1,000mg
- Post-menopausal women on hormones: 1,200mg
- Post-menopause without hormones: 1,500mg
