How to Get Motivated to Work Out
It's not always easy to get out of bed early or hit the gym after a long day at work. Our editors share what drives and inspires them to #makefithappen.
The thing that motivates me is the thought that I never regret a run. No matter what. Like, I regret food I eat, things I buy, things I say. I have never, ever, ever regretted a run. So in the morning when I can't get out of bed I say to myself, "You've never regretted a run." The weirdest thing that totally motivates me is sometimes I'll envision some of my favorite athletes and I picture them training with me. So, when I want to give up I just imagine they're gonna tell me to keep on going and that's what gets me through. I basically have to run every morning because I have a terrier who has endless energy and the park is half a block away. So, I can't help but take him out.
