Hey, guys. It's Elessa here today. And today, I'm going to show you this tutorial right here. It's a Double French Twist and a swirl in the front. I thought it was really cute. It's retro, it's very spring 2012 and it's simple to do. You don't need any heating products, just a lot of bobby pins. Also I have some exciting news. I am in the On Makeup Magazine. This is like a dream come true. I never thought I'd actually be in here so thank you so much for everyone to make this happen.
But look, here I am, Elessa Jade and my Kit Focus. So all the things that I love as a professional, what things you should put in your kit and so like that. So thank you so much guys. Don't forget to pick this up and you can get the link below but thank you, thank you, thank you. Oh hey, this matches my shirt. I just noticed that. Okay. So let's get all of the tutorials. It's gonna be really simple and fun and let me know in the comments below if you wanna see more updo hairstyles, down-do's, curls, swirls, what you guys are looking for, and let's go on with the tutorial. So the first thing you're going to do is you're going to create
a U-shape right here in the front and you wanna make it as even as possible. It doesn't have to be perfect. Just kinda something like this and you're going to twist that up and put this away from the rest of your hair. Then the next thing you're going to do is you're gonna split your hair down in the middle. Okay, once you split your hair down in the middle, you're going to work on your French Twist. So you're gonna take the opposite hand and I'm going to twist my hair but I'm gonna kind of pull it here because I want it to be more towards the middle
and I'm just gonna twist it upward, take that, remain this over like this. Then I'm gonna take the remaining piece and I'm going to tuck it underneath, and I'm gonna twist that inside just like that. Then I'm gonna take a bobby pin and I'm going to tuck it from the outer edge up on over and inside. So from the outside, you're gonna go up on over.
Here you're gonna do the same thing with this side. Gonna take your hair, and then to first start twisting and up on over and you want it to meet in the middle just like that and you up on over and you're gonna take this, and you're going to bring that, tuck it inside and then take this, tuck it in, do one more at the top. Now that you're all done, you're gonna have a little bit of a bump right here. Not to worry. Then you're going to take this piece right here and you're gonna let that loose and you're gonna start backcombing. Now, you don't have to backcomb.
You can actually just curl it but I'm gonna backcomb it a little bit 'cause I have really thin hair and I want it to be really full. Push that one back and pull this back just like that. Okay, so the very last part once you've poufed this up, you can even have it pulled all the way back here and then a little curl or you can just have it more pouffy. I wanted to go more pouffy 'cause I thought it matches the shirt, it was very Gwen Stefani. And so what you wanna do is take your hair,
put your hand right here, and you're going to curl or using a curling iron is a lot easier but since I'm going for a no-heat style, I'm just gonna keep it like that. Just roll it, then you're gonna take a bobby pin, and you're going to place this right between the curl and have it slide right along your scalp. Just like that, and you can leave it like that if your hair is secure but since mine is kinda one of those where I don't know if I move a lot, it's gonna fall out. So I'm gonna take another bobby pin
and I'm going to just pull this back, just a little bit right here and this will tame this wave right here too. So you can either pull this back a little bit, keep it super pouffy, it's really up to you. And there you have it. It's a Double French Twist with a nice little pouf on the front. Don't forget your hairspray. I'm using my L'Oreal Elnett and I'm just gonna spray it everywhere, and that's it. Thank you so much for watching. If you do this look, please send me pictures. I'd love to see you. That's what really excites me and I love to see like your creativity and how
