descriptionTop 100 Products of The Year Part 1 I am going to upload the rest later. Here are my favourite items that I can't live without for 2011. I fixed the lighting for the fashion video and forgot to fix it back when I did this video. Since I can't see anything until its in editing mode nothing I...
Happy New Year. Hey guys! It's Elessa here and today I'm gonna talk about a portion of my Top 100 Products of 2011 or products that I've been using throughout the entire 2011, the ones I did buying and things like that. So, I have a pile of makeup and products right here. So, I'm gonna talk about them. This is probably like a four-part series. Okay, so this is in any particular order. It's just the items that I absolutely love. So, I'm just gonna kind of go from left to right
and then as far as prices go, I'm gonna give you a range because I just don't remember exactly and there's just so many products here just so you guys can know. So, the first one that I absolutely love-- it's just kind of one of those that I picked up-- is this hair brush from Ross. And, it was like $12.99 and it's by I-O-N-I-K-A. It was like $12.99 and I love it because I hate brushing my hair. So, now that I have this like pretty hair brush, I can totally have pretty hair. So, that's like the first like love item. The next item
that I really like is the Bombshell in Pink from Sultra and I think this is like $99. You can get this like Nordstrom or at Sephora. And, I love it because it really curls my hair really fast and it's pretty in pink. The next two items that I really love for my hair because I really don't know other product in my hair. It's just this hairspray leave-in conditioner and this is the Redken Extreme Shampoo and-- and Conditioner. And, it's like really moisturizing. It has Interlock Timing Protein Network.
I don't know any that's of many but it makes my hair really pretty and it's really soft. I just have a little bit of leave-in conditioner in and that's it. My favorite leave-in conditioner for like the last-- well, I'm only ten years almost is Beyond The Zone Split Mender. I still love it. Anytime there's a sale, I will buy in bulk. I love it. Oh my gosh. It makes my hair all soft and it doesn't get frizzy or anything like that and it really just-- I don't have to cut my hair as often so I love it. So, this next item is one of my favorites. It's really not just a brand but it's a product
that I really like and it's a Dry Powder Shampoo. And, the reason why I like it is that it dries out the oils on your scalp and it really helps make big hair and I learn that from my hairdresser. It's not necessary just helping drying out the oils but it just helps your hair just get really just nice and big and pouffy. So, this one right here is the Redken Powder Grip. But, I really could just use any kind. There's even colored ones. Just be careful not to put it too close to your hair because it may start getting really dark product right here. Okay, moving on to the face products.
The skin care that I've been using for like the last six months is all Anastasia. I use a serum. I use the eye cream and I use the face one. And, this is the eye cream. I love it. It's really amazing. It's a little bit more of a higher end product but it was designed to emulate a really, really fancy-- really good for hands and I really like it. The only thing that I don't like is I have to dig my hands in these. And, this one is the Dramatically Nourishing Antioxidant (DNA) Eye Creme and then the one that's for the skin.
With the label [unk] fell off but it's kind of gross. So, I do have like this much left. Like they're really-- I don't know if you could see it but I don't like scooping my fingers in there but that's one of the downfalls but it's really moisturizing and I really like it. It has a really strong scent but you'll get used to it after the first few times. The next product that I like-- I have a couple of foundations that I like but the one that I've used pretty much all year is this AIRBASE - High Definition Airbrush Make-up and I really like it. You can get this online.
It's a little pricier and it's-- I like it because it's a full coverage. But, when it's on my skin, it doesn't set in the fine lines. No cracks in it. It doesn't look really like aging because I've used foundation and it's like a really thick kind. Then, it just kind of sets in some pores and it just really makes you look a lot older than you really are. So, I like this one here because it just gives you this nice coverage and it's AIRBASE. My favorite tinted moisturizer of the year is the O.C.C. Tint. I really like that. I have that on right now in number two. Why two?
In this, you don't need airbrush or anything like that. And, the other one, the AIRBASE, I just use it with my brush or fingers as well. Another product that I absolutely love that seals in all of my makeup is the Skindinavia 10 Years Younger Makeup Finish. There's really just a lot of different kinds. I just love makeup finishes. I can go over the ones that I have. I have this little shelf of them. But, this one I like because it's like a newer one. And, it just gives you this nice satin finish and I just love it because it really does help my makeup lasts a lot longer.
So, this next item that I really like is from Target and it's Pixi. And, it's really cute. It has this little pixie girl here and it's got just really pretty color. It has great pinkish berry color and it's just really girly and I like it. I have it like made this little girl fave yet but this Pixi product is an all over magic. I just really like it. I think it's super cute and I love the way that look comes off on anybody's skin tone. It's just really happy and fresh and fun. My favorite makeup palette that just released this year is the Naked2.
I really like this one. I don't know how to explain it but I just like this one so much more than the others. And, I think it's because of the range of colors and just the way it looks on my skin. You can see that. But, I really like this one. So, I definitely recommend the Naked2. Another product that I like is Embryolisse. It's a really great moisturizer-- the lait creme. And, it's just a great product. This is really inexpensive. With $25, you get a huge tube and you can use that on yourself. It's a great product to have in your kit as a makeup artist
and it's just one of those things that works on everyone's skin tone and it's all natural ingredients. The next products that I absolutely love is the Duo Lash Glue in Dark Tone and the reason why I love it is that it's so quick to use. This right here I purchased at CBS which is a big mistake because it was $6.99. But, you can actually buy a huge tube at Sephora for $6.99. So, if you're buying this, I recommend getting it at Sephora because it is in a larger tube and it's like almost the same price. And then, the next product that I really like-- like this is like a must have-- is the MAC Soft and Gentle.
I actually have that on my face right now. I will apply more. You'll love this one. But, it just gives you this great natural sheen especially like in the winter time when you're spilling a little dry. This just really helps give you that nice softness and luminosity. So, I really like this. I use it like on my lid, on my nose-- pretty much anywhere and everywhere. I just love the Soft and Gentle. The next product that I really like is the Cover FX's concealer because
it's great for sensitive skin and it really helps with all like the blemishes and covering it up. So, let me show you a really great tip depending on your skin tone. If you have oily skin, I recommend taking the right-- original Urban Decay. Taking this and then taking that and mixing it and then applying it to your blemishes because it actually covers up those blemishes. It's actually the ones that you just puff in it and it's still kind of oozing. That's really gross. So, once it like dries, cover this up with this stuff and it works so great.
So, this is also one of my favorites. It's Eden. It's my absolute favorite. I have like all different sizes but I travel with this one and I love it. The next product that I absolutely love for the year is Stila. Stila has this great-- oh my gosh, it can even [unk] talking about Sparkle Waterproof Eye Liner. But, they have all different colors but I really like the black one. I use it almost everyday because it's just so pretty. With these all different colors, I have to do like a whole video on it but I recommend this one as well. I have two favorite mascaras that I have been using. I've been using the Voluminous Million Lashes from L'Oreal.
And, it's not that it makes my lashes just really big and amazing. It's just that it coats it really nicely and I don't get the raccoon eyes. And, I love the way this right here just kind of flops and it really just goes with my lashes so I really like that. When I want something that's really dramatic, I like the Lancome Hypnose and Lancome Hypnose Drama because it's like boom. It's a well-thick as you can see. So, if you don't like chunky or like really dramatic lashes, then I don't recommend it.
And then, I also really like the oscillating mascara. This is a primer from Lancome. I like how fluffy but it oscillates so it's like [unk]. And, I like it because there's little lashes that I can't see and it just kind of hits it. It's great. I love this one. And then for my brows, I absolutely-- oh my gosh! I am in love with this right here. I have to get some more different products from this but it's the 24h Water Strong Eye [unk] product. It really works and this is
a japanese brand so you got to go to the japanese stores that looks like this. And, a lip product that I absolutely like that I've been using. Everywhere I go, I always carry it. It's just one of those like "pick me up" colors. This is from Tarte and this is Amused. It's a natural lip stain. So, I have it on my lips already but it's great because you just roll it up and it just gives you this great pretty color to your lips without being like a super bright lip. It just gives you a little color.
I love this one. Another highlighter that I really like is the Stila one. This is Kitten and there's two colors right here but I just kind of mix it all up. And, I can't really decide which one I like more, this one or the MAC Soft and Gentle. I think it's just one of those things that you just have to try out for yourself. This one has a little mirror and it's compact and small so it's great to carry in your purse and it really just gives you this really pretty dewiness on the skin so I love it. Another product that I really like is the NYX. This is a shadow
powder stuff because it really just-- it's so inexpensive and the colors are just so great. It's not too red or not too-- like burgundy that looks kind of weird out in the sun. It's just like this perfect natural ash color and I use the one Topaz. Another lip product-- this is a little bit more in the pricey side but it's amazing. If you're a makeup artist, you have to get this. It's the Bobby Brown 1991. Amazing. Oh my God! The colors are just so pigmented and you get a bunch of colors like this. It is tiny but it's so pigmented
and I love it. I just-- every color you can imagine is in here and it is so compact. It's perfect to put in your purse or in your office drawer or like every makeup artists. This is perfect for everybody. Another item that I love, love-- oh my God! I'm so amazed and so impressed with this stuff-- is the lip product from L'Oreal, the Infallible. You put this on your lips and it lasts forever and ever and you can get this during their Buy One, Get One Half Off Sale. So, I-- I mean there's so many different colors but I use it all the time. I always have one in my purse
because it really just help like your lips all day long. I only recommend one coat. When you put two coats, it starts to peel so and-- and, another drugstore item that I think is like oh my gosh like where have you been on my life-- is the Wet n Wild products. This one is the-- what color is this one? Earth Looks Small From Down Here. And then, I have this one right here and I have like a purple one. I have all different colors but they're just so amazing and so pigmented. And then, of course, you can't forget about L'Oreal Hip. I don't know what colors they have left. I now will be discontinuing these
a lot but these right here are really pigmented as well. Also, you can see that. I love this stuff right here. Then, we move on to fragrances. There's just so many fragrances out there but the one that I always stick too is not really popular which I love-- is the Flirt Luv-a-Licious from Kohl's-- err at Kohl's and it lasted all day because I'm kind of person where I'm like where's my scent? It's because I just over sprayed
and I just kind of got used to it. But this, I can smell it all day long and I love it. It actually like stays on. Now, this is a product that they have at Alcone. It's fantastic like I use this all the time. It is the Lucas Papaw Ointment. You can only get this on Australia and I know you can get this from Alcone and they have in there a huge jar. I have one by my bed but it's perfect. It's kind of gross on the back here. A local topical application for boils, burns, chafing, cuts, cracked skin, gravel rash, splinters, open wounds, insect bites and nappy rash. So, pretty much everything under the sun
but if you have like a dry flake or anything, oh my God! It's great. But, you can put this in your purse and it doesn't spill. It's just-- it's like Vaseline but I'll put it on my hands and I'm like-- like the cracks right here when it dries. Oh my God! I love it. Now, for another eye care product that I love is this Model In A Bottle Long Lasting Eyebrow Sealer. Oh my gosh! It's amazing especially if you're like dewy brows. You just kind of brush it up and over and it doesn't flake and it really moves your hair. It's like you will stay there
and then okay. So, I love this. I think it's like $12.99. On to more drugstore eyeshadows. So, Milani has amazing products like I can't pick what I love from Milani because everything is great. But here is one that I really like and this is called Teal The Truth-- Tell the Truth and it's so pigmented. Look, I don't even have a base or anything like that and it's just like pop in your face. So, I just-- I'm always so impressed with all of these colors. So, I highly recommend checking these out from Milani. Amazing.
Another product-- this is the one that I have on my eyelids right now. It's the Myface Cosmetic Blingtones. These are a little bit more pricey because the product inside is like a really high end product like it's crashed pearls but then they used these acrylic casing so that way they can skimp on the cost of the packaging but really put the money into the eyeshadow and it really is amazing because it's like that glitter on your lid but it doesn't fall. So, it's got shadow and glitter and it doesn't fall. I love it. So, I have the
gold one on right now like I wear all the time. And then, primers. So, there's a lot of different primers out there and I know a lot of people are like sensitive to this Smashbox one. So, the two that I absolutely love is the Cover FX's one because there's an SPF. This one right here is purple. This one says brightening foundation primer with SPF 50. I love it. The only thing is that it has more of makeup. I don't want to say a greasy feeling but it's a little bit more of a greasy feeling compared to like the one with the silicone based. But, if you like the one that had that silicone kind of texture,
then the benefit professional is great. It's oil-free, lightweight, and it has this like translucent feel to it. So, when you put it on your hand, you can actually see everything getting field in on your skin and you don't have any cracks and lines. So, I love those two. The next items are eyeliners. So, I absolutely love this one. There's two eyeliners like the liquidity kind that I like and one is a Lancome Artliner that I used like all the time and I cannot like know is it because it's so great which is [unk].
But, the way this tip-- this is a felt tip and so you have a lot more control. And then, I also like the EvePearl one which I think is like $20 something. These are holds like $20 something because you can get that perfect flick like every time. It's so amazing. I really like it-- these two right here, I love. And then, the last two lip products that I like is the Lip Flash from Milani. I have all different colors. The reason why I like it is that it's really moisturizing and it's really pigmented and it's just one of those products that are really inexpensive but you can find really
similar ones from like higher end for about $20 but you don't have to pay that much because Milani has like the exact same ones but maybe a little different colors though but the quality is just as good. And then, I love this Anastasia. This is the Hydrafull Gloss. I use this all the time because it really is hydrating and it keeps my lips like nice, plump, and full and moisturizing. And so this one when you're in a lot of lip gloss, it gets kind of dry. But, this right here, I love it because it doesn't get dry
and then it has this great applicator. So, if you're a makeup artist, you could just use this, wipe it, and then put it away instead of having to use your own disposable products and throwing it away. You just use this and a little spatula inside of it. It's perfect. Thank you so much for watching. Thank you so much for subscribing. I'm gonna have more videos of like my favorite products of the year. I know it's a lot but if you're looking for like a certain product, then you might want to check these out. These are ones that I love. I use them all the time and I highly recommend it. And, don't forget to watch my next video.
Thank you so much and I'll see you guys later. Bye.
