-Hey there. It's Elessa here for Pursebuzz and I just wanna wish everybody a happy and safe and wonderful new year. So, today's tutorial is something that's smoky with a little bit of glitter and I think it's perfect for the New Year because it has this really pretty sparkle to it, yet it's really just sophisticating. They have lots of blacks and grays and silvers. I think it's something that
everybody could do and you could probably find a lot of these products in your home. So, I've been getting a lot of requests about the BH Cosmetics 120 Shadow Palettes, so here it is. This is the one that I'm gonna be using today and we open it. So, you could see on the top, there are reds, and yellows, and oranges, purples, not as much yellow. It's more like a white gold, and then underneath, there are some standard browns and pinks and purples and I'm gonna be using this row right here, the third one, from the end because it has a lot of those great basics,
smoky colors, and to compliment such as smoky look, I'm gonna be using this nude lip color from L'Oreal. It's one of my favorites. So, if you're interested, keep on watching. Start of with the Cover FX Anti-Age Smoothing Primer to moisturize and prime. The first that you're gonna use is a silver base and I'm gonna be using that from the Diamond FX and all you do is add a little bit of water and mix a medium to it and it intensifies your eye shadow. It gives it a lot of dimension just like this. First, it's like just a flat
gray, silver, and black eye shadow application. Wet your brush and apply the Diamond FX silver base just to create a shimmery opaque shadow application. Avoid applying it under your brow bone because we don't want a silver shimmery look all over the lid. And for my highlight, I wanted to use something a little bit pearly and a little bit shell like and so I'm using the Mark eye shadow and you could see that right here and I think the number is ILCQ9, but there's also an official name for it.
It's-- that is the only thing I see on the back here, so use something that's pearly, just like this one. Lightly apply the highlight under your brow bone with a floppy brush. Next, taking a golden pearl color, pat it on the inner corner. I'm using the BH Cosmetics palette and I'm just gonna use this for the inner corner to brighten up the eye. In the same palette, use the lightest skin metal color and pat it on the lid with a flat brush. This will prevent any loose pigment from flying away.
Apply it all the way up until you meet the highlight color. Let me add to the highlight in the gunmetal scheme to become one. I would like to use a pencil brush a little bit firmer and very exact. Using an angled soft brush, take the same palette in a dark black and apply it on top of the gunmetal on the crease. Let the angled brush guide you as you apply the shadow. By having the gunmetal already in place
it makes the blending a lot easier. Use your pencil brush to soften any of the harsh lines. Trace your eye with a black eyeliner and make sure you wedge that pencil between your lash line to create a full lash effect. So, when I lined my eyes for this look, I'm gonna be using the Mark. This is their dual eyeliner and it's called
longer eyeliner and eye shadow and it's a cream-based product. It's black and silver. So, what I did was I used this as the eyeliner and to finish off the look on the inner corners, I will just use a silver right here, and I loved it because it's compact and it comes with 2 colors in one. To polish off your eyeliner and wing out the eye, apply a gel liner with an angled brush to create a flick. Still your liner with your eye shadow. Make sure you only line about halfway to three quarters of the way on the bottom
lash line. This will help open up your eyes. Repeat the same sets of the silver color liner so that your eye shadow will last all day as an eyeliner. An then to line my eyes, I wanted something really black and glittery, so I'm using this one right here and this is platinum from L'Oreal Hip Collection and I'm also using this silver here, which is like a metal silver, which is why I really like it for the inner corners. It's making my eyes pop
and not look so close off and tired. Then my favorite part of the look is the little glitter that you can see right, only in certain lights where you can see it and it's the MAC reflex teal and the great way to apply this is the mixing medium. Use a floppy brush to dab on the glitter. The denser the brush, the more glitter you'll apply. Apply your lash glue. Remember to apply small beads to the ends of your lashes
to prevent any peeling. Once the glue has dried, apply a liquid liner to the spine of the lashes. My staple is Eve Pearl's black pearl. Now, to really beef up those lashes, I'm using the Lancome primer and this is the one that goes buzz, buzz. Next, I'm using L'Oreal on millions of lashes to conceal my fake lashes with my real lashes and coat the bottom ones.
Alright, now that you're done with the eyes, you wanna remove any of the [unk] with the little bit of moisturizer. That way, the [unk] will be gone and your skin will be moisturized. Once it's dry and the moisturizer has absorbed in your skin, you're gonna put on the primer and then you're gonna wait for a little bit, and then you're going to apply on your foundation. So, when it's New Year or when you're doing anything that has to do with photography, I highly recommend just staying away from anything with SPF or anything with titanium dioxide because that's what's gonna give you that white cast around your face.
So, what I'd like to do is I'd like to use my Eve Pearl. This is the high definition foundation in light. I think it's just a touch dark for me, but it's gonna give myself a little bit of color because I'm really, really fair in the winter time. So, I'm gonna take a sponge and what you wanna do is dab on the sponge as a little bit so that the foundation will go on smooth in and you won't apply a heavy, heavy thick, cakey application. Okay, so for my cheeks, I'm gonna give myself a little bit more of a peachy tone, so for my blush, I'm gonna be using [unk] and Sun Goddess. I really like it
because it feels really soft the texture and it's pigmented and has a touch of shimmer, so I'm gonna take this brush here and I'm gonna add just a little bit on the apples of my cheeks. So next, I'm gonna use this color and it's seen from MAC and it's a nice, really just a stuffed highlighter color. Haven't you like it? I think its a little lighter, then soft and gentle. I'm just gonna put a little bit right here using the other side of my brush
and track it down just a bit. And then you want a little bit of contouring or a little bit of color, may be you feel like your foundation is off because you haven't been wearing any since the summertime, you don't wanna use a little bit of a bronze or and I'm using this one from Marks. This is called [unk]. So this outer perimeter's more of a bronzer for me and the rest is just really shimmery. So, what I wanted to do is I'm just kinda concentrate on that little outer edge, get a little bit of color, take off any of the least pigment, and then you apply that right here on the back
right by my ear and get see how my cheeks pop out with all the different colors and the shading your cheeks bone. So, the next thing is you're gonna put on a lipstick. I'm gonna use something that's really soft and neutral and this one is called Linda Evangelista. This is the L'Oreal Infallible and I really loved this color. You could see how much I've been using it. I'm gonna apply this to my lips and it's gonna take quite a pink undertone for my natural pigmentation. So you can see, it did not really add too much color, just evens out my skin tone
and just takes it down to look a little bit more of a neutral tone than a pink tone. Then, we'll that dry. Apply this on and I'm good to go and that completes the look. What I really like about this look for the holidays or for the New Year is that it's slightly glittery using a little bit of the reflex glitter. It's really small. It's not too chunky and it just shines when you're on a certain light. So, I think it's really fan and it's just not too over the top. Thanks again for joint me at Pursebuzz and I will see you as next time. Bye.
