Hey there, welcome to---- hey, down here. Yes, yeah perfect. Welcome to pursebuzz.com. Today we're
going to be doing a look inspired by the latest video from Lady Gaga called Bad Romance. I really like this look, it's like towards the end, but I watered it down just a little bit on the cheeks, because I thought it was a little too much for like a daytime look? I thought maybe toning down the cheeks just a little bit would be a little bit more wearable for a lot of us. It's really pretty fun, even like holiday look, even like a night out, on a date or something, you know, definitely a little bit more of a nighttime look, but it is very pretty. It's got some shimmers and glimmers and like some dark lips.
You could also change it up with like a nude lip to make it a little bit more of a sexy bedroom eye look. And it's very pretty, I like it, I had lots of fun doing this and I hope you guys enjoy. Start off with your eye shadow primer all over the lid. Smooth out your primer, I like to use a brush for a smoother consistency. A dark reddish black base
or even just a regular black base to your lid. I'm using a cream color base from MAC called Bat Black which has a little bit of a reddish tone to it so it warms up my eyes, and I don't look so one dimensional. For the next step, you're going to apply a silver to the outside of your eyes. I like to wing out this little look, first with a silver and then we're going to go over it with another color to create a little bit of dimensions for using
so much black. Slightly blend out any of the harsh lines with a soft fluffy brush. Next I'm taking MAC's Cinderfella, it's a black yet kind of a silvery look to it. Then we add a little bit more dimension right on top of the wing. Slowly and softly create a little bit of a shape around your lid
and kinda round it off. This is going to be the background of that really big pop at the end with the dark shadow. Now you can take your fluffy brush again, and just really soften any of the harsh lines. Take a solid dark black matte, and apply this to the lid in a moon shape. So, you're only going to do half a circle. And then I like to dab this color on to prevent any fall out.
Take a thin crease brush and just kinda soften up the lines a little bit. It doesn't have to be perfect yet. Dab on a matte color that matches your skin tone to your brow bone, you can even use your facial powder for this part. Close up the look by adding a little bit of the brow bone color to the wing and it really will soften it up and add a little bit of a haze to it.
Now it's time to blend out the seams. I like to use a little pencil brush because you can really get in there and concentrate at the edges and not mess up the rest of the colors. This part is optional but always fun. Take a little bit of that silver from Cinderfella, or your black shimmery color and dab it right on top of the middle part of your lid. Just do it for a little sparkly fun. Apply a little bit of a black eyeliner
to the bottom of your lash line, and on to the top of your lash line. Now take your black shadow and a smudger and smoke out your liner. Time to darken your water line to create a really dramatic effect. I'm using my Loreal Khol and I really like this one, but I know if you have really oily lids it doesn't work as well. Apply your primer and then your mascara for a super dramatic effect
and now you're done with your eyes. Right now that I am done with the eyes it's safe to put on in your moisturizer, your primer and your foundation. So, right now I've actually put a little bit of concealer on and a little bit of primer and I just use the OCC primer for the airbrush, I really like it because it's water based and so it really works with my skin, so I'm going to also use the airbrush
system also from OCC makeup. I really like airbrushing my makeup, it's really simple like, you could do it on your own, you could do it for other people too and it's really light. It doesn't---- it gives you like a flawless look. And it really is just so light on the skin, you don't feel it, you can't like, smudge or anything. And I just---- I really like the way it looks and the texture on my skin too, because I'm not a foundation wearer so when I do wear foundation I like to go
really really sheer. So, this is really perfect, I really like it. So, we're gonna use it right now. It's gonna be loud, so I might do a voice over, I'm not sure yet. So, first thing I'm gonna do is back bubble, because I mixed 3 different colors. I use like the lightest color and the second lightest color just to kinda create a Lady Gaga type of pale blush color. So, I'm just mixing the color right now inside. You can
start to feel the mist coming out. about whatever regular foundation you use. You could even mix that inside it here if you'd like. Alrighty, I got some mixing going so I can actually put some color on. I'm gonna draw my little C.
For my cheeks, I wanna go for like a little bit of a mauve color. Like, I wanna do a watered down version, something you could wear for like the holidays, something that you can wear everyday and not feel so overdone, even drag queenish---- so, you wanna be careful and find that happy medium for yourself. So, what I'm gonna do is I'm using Nars Sin---- so it still has that mauve base to it, and it's gonna compliment my lipstick. right now I'm gonna use a MAC 109 and I'm just going to apply this----
she isn't a really sharp, so you can do that right here, you could put like a post it note if you really want to do that sharp look. I'm just gonna kinda angle it like her, but I'm not going to really get that intensity . I'm just gonna dab it on and that's going to be your foundation. And then you brush it up. And that way it'll soften it just a bit, but really bring out your cheek bones. Now you put too much color, you're
Like; oh I'm not used to this. Just add a little bit of your powder on top and it'll be fine. And for my lips I'm gonna be using the OCC vintage, I love this color. It's one of those colors that OCC has in their lip where you could actually just wear it on their on. This color is like a black and green where you probably wanna mix it with a different color, but this one you could just run straight on its own. And I like to use it with an angle brush, I don't like to apply it like---- because if you gets so much of it, then it's no longer
elegant. Apply a little at a time. I'd like to start at the bottom, work my way up. And then shape. Alright the look is completed. It's so very pretty like nighttime holiday look. You can either go for like a nude lip
or like a frosty nude lip, I would probably do something like that, but since we're inspired by Lady Gaga I'm going to just keep it with the red deep burgundy lips, and the super dark eyes, and a little bit of edge on the cheeks. Hope you guys enjoy, have a wonderful holiday and I'll see you guys soon. Bye. On guitar and vocals Catrien Maxwell. Intro music by Classic Master.
