Makeup Review: Imats 2009 Haul and Review

Hey, there! Welcome to pursebuzz.com. I just got back from IMATS and I just organized all my stuff and I wanted to show you---- do kind of a quick review on all the products and just kind of talk bout IMATS real quick. It was so fun. It was really nice to meet everybody. There's a whole bunch of You Tubers and some subscribers and it was so nice to actually meet all of you in person. And if you guys have any pictures or anything, please e-mail them to me so I can keep them 'cause it's

such a great experience and I'd like to have something to remember all of you guys by. There are a lot of fun, colorful stuff that I wanna show and just kind of talk about. So, we're gonna go really quick and then later on, I'm gonna have the actual photos and all of that images and swatches and reviews, all at pursebuzz.com. So let's just jump right into it. The very first one I'm going to show you guys is the booth I'm sure everybody had to visit which is the OCCmakeup.com and so I'm gonna show you some of the stuff

that I have here. Here are the lip tars. Actually, I have a fun image already on pursebuzz.com with this blue. And what you wanna do is you can mix these to take---- to make your favorite color. You could put it into a little jar and you can just apply it and it's a different type of finish. It's really juicy and it's---- I don't know how long-lasting or anything like that. So, I'm gonna try that and let you guys know. So here's the blue. You know, I'll just do a little quick swatch here.

And then what I do is I put a little bit of gloss on top with the blue and so it was really juicy-looking, but I heard that it is a little drying on its own and so it's better to apply some sort of gloss on top. So here's the white. So you just kind of mix it with like the purples and reds and blacks and then you can make your own favorite lip gloss. And so, there you go, those are the lip tars and these are their---- there's like pigments. You get tons and tons of pigments and I really put that on my site

so you could see the pictures. I didn't list all the names yet, but I wanna show you these. Then they also have like pigments there and they're pure pigments, comes in a jar like this. And this one right here is the green one and this is Chlorophyll. So I'm just gonna do a quick swatch so you guys can see and I'm gonna use one of my new Crown Brushes that I got. Gotta re-stock up on Crown Brushes. So I'm just gonna dip my brush into the water just so you could see it and

see how pretty that is. This is a really pretty green. I could make it really pigmented. Actually, the yellow one too, just some of the fun colors that they have and this yellow is Insane. So a lot of their colors are really bright. They also have the toned down browns and, you know, everyday colors too but I wanted to show you the ones that are just really fun. So here's the yellow and let me

just smooth that out and it's gonna be really nice. If you're wondering what brush this is, this is the C213 Chisel Mini Smudger. I thought this would be really great like blending brush just between the crease and the brow bone. So, those are just some things they have from OCC. You can see the pure pigments right there and I will have to let you know how it blends and all that stuff later. The next product that I got was a Yaby Cosmetics palette and I'm just so excited

because I just love this. Ever since Koren talked about it, I had to check it out, and it's a little palette like this. You can see it right there. They have a whole bunch of different ones, but I have the one with the blacks and the pinks and the orange shimmers. I just love the layout of this one right here and it's really, really pigmented. So let me show you here. It's really concentrated too. Yes. It's a little more dual tone. So there's the pink and I'm gonna have pictures on my website too so you guys can see the colors. I know sometimes it's hard to see

and this is without a base and it's very, very like pigmented. It's very soft. And these are all the shimmery colors and this has like some dual tones. There are some really pretty greens, just like in a green mode. So you can see that. And that's like no base at all. You don't even really need a base. You could apply this wet or dry. This is a 40 palette right here. And this is really great for people on the go, traveling makeup artists, and it has just all the colors that you need. You kind of dip and they have like different colors too there

like browns and creams and highlight colors or more neutral colors, but I think this one is just like my favorite so I really, really like that one. Okay. This one is like super duper exciting. This is---- let's do it with those people who love nails and I love---- I'd love to do my nails but I have a hard time doing my nails really creative and fun, and so I got these right here. It's in a---- it comes in a box with 8 of them. Do you see that? And this is---- this is

their website right here. This one, see that? And then, I think there's a referral on there too so let them know pursebuzz sent you. So we'll just show you what it does. So there's different colors. This one can be like for the watermelon and if you spin it right here, it's nail polish. And if you close it, this is what I would use it for. It's for this tip right here. So what you do is you squeeze it, squeeze it on my face here. Just squeeze and the tight---- the harder you squeeze,

the more product comes out. So you have a little dot right there and so I can make a flower so you guys can see. Then I'll flip it around and I'll do a little green in the middle. There you go! Here's a flower like it was so quick and so you could do all sorts of stuff like that. So I'm really excited about these.

I'm trying to find the lid here. So I'm really, really excited about these. You can get these on their website. They have all different colors. You get like neons and like metallics and glitters, but I wanted to go with something a little bit more versatile so I just picked this one right here and then the white if you like French tips and sunsets and flowers and zebra stripes and cheetahs and all that stuff. So that one, yeeeh! I can wait to get into that. So IMATS was really fun 'cause I was like introduced to so many new brands

and products. And another one that I've heard so much about that I haven't really been able to check out is the line Naked. You could see that right here. And again, this one is pure products. It's all natural. There's a couple of colors that are really intense that they do add a little bit of other elements to it. So the ones I got here are ivory. And these right here are the ones that are white that shines a different color and so that's really great for me because I like

to use that on the inner corner of my eye. So let me show you here. It's very pigmented like a little bit goes a long way. And the good thing about this product is that it never expires because it's pure, so there's nothing in there that will go bad and you can use this for like your nails. You can use this for all sorts of stuff. You could see that, there. So that's like wet so that would be like an eyeliner if you're using like a darker color,

but if you're just to put on this eyeshadow kind of like this and I'm gonna have pictures of all these colors but they're really pretty and they're really pigmented. A little bit goes a long way so I don't think you'll ever, ever finish this jar right here. So that's the blue one. There's like other colors. So let me show you the darker colors here. I have this one Shock Effect and it comes in---- we open this up. So each box has 6 colors.

And just depending on what you use as your base, it could be matte or you'll have a shimmery finish so you could do like layers. First layer could be matte and then we pat on some more, they'll be shimmery. It's really pretty. And I don't have any base or anything like that. So, I---- ooh! I'm so excited. And so the thing about this Naked products is that you can use this for virtually anything. You can use this as your nail polish. You can use this as your eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush, foundation, anything, you name it,

just, you know, picking the right colors. It all worked. And then this is the other one that I have and this is the Broadway. So this has different colors, but I will definitely have swatched this up and everything so you guys can check it out. So, I---- look at that, how pretty that is. A little much right there but in pictures, oh, it's so cool. And that one is ivory. Oh, I recommend ivory. You wanna check that out. And the next product that I found is so cool, and this is

from FX. They're gonna actually have a website July 1st so you guys can order it. But this is cake, mini blending cake. So if you're like an artist or something and you have like a flat brush---- you have a flat brush like this, you just dip it into a little water, take it and you just---- and you pick these 2 colors. We run it back and forth 'til you see it on your brush like that and you can make a pattern

which I don't know how, but I'm gonna try. Here we go. See I just made that right now. And what they did was they had all this like designs on their faces and it's just super cool. So what I wanna do with this---- it says it's not eye-safe but everyone there had it. So, use it at your own risk, but I just think this is really a great way to have a whole bunch of colors for like an eyeshadow base.

So today I just want a pink, just take your little piece or your---- just be really neat about it, just grab that pink color and put it on your lid like that. And then you put your eyeshadow on top. You can even sprinkle glitter on top of this and it'll be really pretty 'cause it sticks right into it. And of course, we're almost there. Had to get glitter and I got glitter and I got some from Eye Kandy with a "K". See this is one of the colors that I got. I'll show you those in a minute.

So what you do is you just take a little bit of glitter. This one comes with a and you just sprinkle it on top so if you're doing artwork or something, like that. And it sticks right to it. So that's really cool, but I mean just the sting right here is like "Ahhh!" And so you can get this July 1st and it's gonna be on their FX website, so I don't know the actual domain yet but it's Diamond FX, so maybe around that time you can do a google search but I'll definitely have that on my site

as soon as I find out. And so let me show you. That's the pink one, then there's like red and yellow, but you know, if you're really careful, you just grab it. This is a great way to travel and have a whole bunch of different color eyeshadow bases. Just be really careful with it. And so that's the really cute mini one. And then here's the neon one. They also have some stores right now. They're selling it, so if you go to their website, you can go to their

Distributor List. You can check that out. So this is the neon one. This one right here isn't as pigmented as it looks, but you can play anyway. So just take it. You could see that right there. And you just need your brush to be damp and then you put your eyeshadow on top. So let's do that right now, yeah? And get a little bit of our Naked pigment just so it may brush in.

I'm just gonna dab it right on top. Hopefully you could see that. Yeah, that's really cool. Still focusing on that flower so---- Alright, let's go really quick 'cause there's so much more little things I wanna show you guys. So these are really inexpensive. I think these are like $15. I'm not sure how much this one is, but it's really cute, little you just put it in your makeup bag or whatever and you have all these colors. And then if you have this, you're like good to go.

So let me try that too. Kind of a let's play with my new stuff video. And then I only tried to purchase products that you guys can actually get because I wanted to share it with you guys and so you guys are able to actually get it. Alright, so we're gonna take a little bit of this Yaby and we're gonna put that at the end here. And it just brings it out and it's so pretty right there. And then, so let's try another color just for fun.

Again, I will have the linkup once it's out so that you guys can jump on this one. Let's see it's a faint green. We get a little more. See that? And then I'll use a little bit of the green eyeshadow. Let's stick it right on top and it makes a great base and all of this stuff comes off with water or like a makeup remover just depending on which products you're looking here.

So there's nothing that you need to buy like something super special to remove it. And then they also have this one right here where it's like the basic primary colors and then the cracks are in there, but it won't affect or change the product itself. It's just kind of like a warning thing. And I was hauling but of course, I won't forget you guys. For next month giveaway, I'm going to be giving away this guy right here. So we got some and this is like iridescent. You can do all different things with it and then like a turquoise.

But the product that's amazing they have is the sealant right here. That's water base but comes off so easily. I have some pictures and you could see it right there. So let me dip my brush in so you can see and they have like really pretty, beautiful eye-safe colors. Can you see that? But the thing is you can also use this to seal your eyeliner, you know, if you had like regular black eyeliner, you just take this and dab it on there and it's like She Laq from

Benefits. It's like Benefits She Laq. It's like the She Laq, you know, where it really just She Laqs your eyeliner. So, that's really cool. You can see that and it's in a little bottle like this. It smells like mouthwash but yeah it comes off really easily and so check that out. If you are into glitter and you're looking for like all sorts of glitter, just sprinkles on there. This is called Sweet Tart, if you're wondering which one that is.

And then the next product that I got that I'm really excited about is the Parian Spirit. It's a professional brush cleaner and this has been in the industry for a long time. And so what it is is it quickly sprays your brush. So if you've got like so much going on and you only have a couple of brushes, what you do is you just take it, you could spray a paper towel and you just kind of wipe it off. So let me get this really dirty real quick. We've got some purple on there. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna spray it. You could spray it on your brush too like in front of.

Spray, and then you just wipe it like this back and forth and it's all gone. And it dries the brush really fast too so you can move on to the next color and it dries I think, they said, 30 seconds so I'm really excited about that 'cause it's really clean so---- let brushes for us and then I also got a couple of brushes from Crown Brush 'cause I really like the quality. So I'll just show you. Here's a little blender badger brush and then I got this

pink one. I don't know if you can get this online, but it's so cute. It's synthetic too. Look at that. It's a baby Kabuki. But actually it's not a little baby Kabuki. It's a regular Kabuki.
