-Hey there. Welcome to pursebuzz.com. Today, I am doing a brush review and this is actually a coop video so first thing is I'm going to use this brush and I'm just gonna wash them and I'm gonna be really rough with it. Everyone's gonna see if it can withstand my cleaning technique and in a couple of days, you're going to see EnKoreMakeup do an actual video review on each individual brushes and how he feels with all that fun stuff, so what I'm gonna do is pretty much just have some fun
and just see how well these brushes hold up. You're probably wondering what kind of brushes these are. So, coastalscents.com is now known to sell really inexpensive natural-bristled brushes for really inexpensive price because they sell it at wholesale prices, so now, they're carrying these synthetic-bristled brushes like this and there's a whole bunch, they have like foundations and eye shadows and all that stuff and it's all synthetic, so that means it's not real animal fur
which is really good because I know a lot of those of you guys, you know, you just don't wanna use real animal fur to, you know, use, you want to use something synthetic and now there's an alternative. So, I will just show you some of the brushes and you can look at it and stuff but I really wanna get into is just cleaning it, putting a lot of stuff in there and just seeing the results and seeing how it dries, you know, is it gonna dry nice and smooth? Is it gonna dry out crinkly and gross?
And, just, you know, pretty much just gonna have some fun with this video. Alright, so, my first brush is this one and this is actually my favorite. This is a kabuki brush. This one right here is the most expensive one and this is $15.95, I believe. I don't really look at prices. Again, like I said, I'm just gonna get right into it and see what this can handle. So, this one right here is a really great buffer brush and it's really, really soft.
I actually took this one to work and just kind of play around, brush it on people, kind of freaked them out. They actually thought this was real natural bristles and they were joking like if it was wet, it totally freaked them out, like on their neck or whatever, like there's an animal crawling on them, blah, blah, blah. So, anyway, this totally fooled everybody at work. They thought it was real natural bristles so that's a really good side. This is really soft. It kinda feels like when someone just gets a haircut or like a flattop or something and you kinda touch it and it's soft.
They stick out like this for whatever reason. That's how it feels and this is another brush right here. It's a powder brush. This is a small powder brush and this is, compared to that Coastal Scents, natural and synthetic. This one's fuller but this one has been washed so once I wash this and dry it, we'll see if it gets all full and fluffy but this is really soft as well. You can't even tell, it's ridiculous.
The only one you could really tell that it's synthetic is the concealer brush and the foundation brush which is typically usually synthetic anyway. Alright. So I'm just gonna wash it and have some fun. Here we go. Okay, so I'm gonna use this base wash stuff. That doesn't work for me. You get a nice blob and we're just gonna see what this brush can handle so here we go. Just putting it under the water.
So, when I took this to work and I just kind of played around with it, some bristles did fall out. A little bit more than the actual badger brushes but nothing to be alarmed about. I think it's just the ones that didn't get in here and didn't get glue in so, here we go. I'm gonna...so there's no bristle on my hand, create a lot of soap.
See, there's no dyes so that's good. It's not, you know, no funky colors. And no hair so that's good. This kabuki brush feels so good. I think this is like my absolute favorite. Check out aveda.com and you can see prices on their synthetic brushes. Synthetic brushes are really-- sometimes I think they're high in price and it gets a little too high sometimes so this one's a really good alternative so this is a really good powder brush. Haven't tried these on my face.
You're gonna have to wait for Korn's video for all that fun stuff. So here we go. We're just going nuts with it. And nothing has fallen out. There's no color, no smell. So, so far it's really good. The bristles aren't wrinkly or gross or anything like that. Now, we're going to try this. This is a badger brush and this is natural hair
and this is the and this is the flat bronzer so we're gonna try that, compare it to the other one just to see. We've got some soap here so we're just gonna recycle. Gonna get real rough with it. We're gonna see what this thing can handle. So there's a faint color to it, really like a light kind of, I don't know.
It looks kind of purply brown but it's nothing to really be worried about. There's just some pieces that have fallen out, kinda like when you trim your pear or something. So there's no actual full-size bristles that have fallen out. This is one of my favorite. So soft. Yes, and no full-sized bristles have fallen out and we could see that little pieces there, so that's a really good sign. There is a little bit of dye here so the first thing that you're gonna definitely--
definitely recommend a good scrubbing. So this one doesn't have any color. Alright. We're gonna rinse this synthetic brush here and see if there's any color. So far so good.
So you might see a little soap in there. I really cleaned it up. Do some deep clean in here. I'm doing this to test out the brushes. I don't recommend you guys, you know, really beating your brushes like this.
Because I'm just reviewing it so I just kinda dropped it there. So, you only have, like I said, a couple of bristles when I first was using it. There aren't any now that have fallen out. They're still all intact in there and the bristles are still really straight. Looks really good still.
Doesn't smell like anything so that's good. Alright, so that's my quick little review on these brushes. Real quick. I'm still gonna-- this brush and this brush right here, these two little kabuki ones. I really like this one right here because I like the foundation and I like that it has shorter bristles and it's easier to control versus this one, it's kind of floppy and it goes in every direction. So this one will give you a lighter application than this one,
but just something for you guys to look at there. Another option. And, eventually, I'm going to be using this eye shadow brush in an eye shadow brush but you really cannot tell the difference. It's insane how natural these look. See, here's the nylon one or synthetic and here is the natural. You can tell it has a slight shine,
but they've really done a great job of just dying the colors and making it look really, really natural. Actually, the thing I said when I first got them was kind of freaking me out 'cause I don't think these are synthetic. They feel too real but they actually they are because they're-- you open it up and you just take a good look at it. It's really, really shiny, but yeah, it's very soft and if you have any synthetic brushes, take them out and just play with it and see if it bounces back. Like if it does this, or doesn't do this.
Like you can actually hear it. That's what synthetic brushes sound like. This is a natural one. It has a totally different sound. Here's another one. That's a synthetic brush. Is this synthetic or is this natural? We're gonna play a game now.
This is actually a synthetic brush. See it's all shiny inside. That's like the part where it's super shiny so... Oh, here's one. You can't even tell. It's just so amazing, so, there it is. Some options for a synthetic brush and don't forget to check out EnKoreMakeup's actual real review on this one. It should be coming in a few days. Thanks again for joining me at pursebuzz.com. Buh-bye.
