-Hey there! Welcome to pursebuzz.com. Today, I'm gonna show you how to do a really simple and most sought-after look. I've been getting up a jillion different requests for this look, so I'm gonna show you how to do it today. All you need is your hair, rubber bands and a flat iron. So I'm using the CHI Nano, not to be confused with the iPod nano,

and you can get this at beautychoice.com. So I'm just gonna take---- this is a 1 inch and what we're gonna do is we're gonna use this to lift our roots to give us lots of volume right here and then we're gonna pull it back in a ponytail. Super simple. You don't need bobby pins unless your hair is kind of layered or super layered and you wanna have that extra hold. So first thing is I'm going to split my hair down in the middle and I'm gonna take a comb and I'm gonna get a nice piece from the back. We're gonna go

in sections. So I'm gonna get a thin piece just like that. I'm gonna spray it. I'm gonna be using my Quick Dry from Redken. It's just an aerosol spray. Prior to this, my hair is already curled and so before that, I used the CHI Silk Infusion and I got this at Ulta's at $22, so it is pricey, but I really like it. It just makes my hair really shiny and it smells good. So what I've done is I've just kinda sprayed it and I'm working the hairspray

into my hair. Probably it just depends on how much height you want. If you're new with this, I recommend making your hair bigger so that with all the mess and fuss that you're gonna do later, it will flatten and you'll have the perfect pouf. So I'm just gonna go from the root. Then I'm gonna move it up. And so it's got a little volume right there, not too much. We're gonna work our way forward. Then we're gonna take it.

We're gonna let it cool down just a second and it's lifting my roots. 'Cause sometimes some people just don't have volume at your roots and it's not your fault, so we're gonna add just a little bit here. Then we're gonna take the next layer here. Again, it's really thin and you're just gonna keep doing it towards the front depending if you have bangs or no bangs, if you wanna do like a side-swept look or not.

I'll take my flat iron, go all the way to the roots and we're gonna lift our hair up just like that and you'll see it lifted. If you want a little more, you want a little curl, you could pull it back. You could see that. And wait for it to cool down a second and I'm gonna tease it.

And I'm gonna tease it on the back and the front 'cause you're not gonna see this. So we're gonna do 6 small strokes, concentrating more at the base. I'm gonna take another piece. And I'm just explaining it since it's gonna take a little longer. If you're doing it on your own, it should be really, really simple. Take it all the way at the base, go upward. I've been asked about my other flat iron. It's a pink one.

The reason why I don't really talk about it is because I don't really like it. It's I think called ProSelect or something. It was a gift, nothing fancy. But this one right here, I'm gonna talk about it 'cause I really like it. Look at that. A lot of pouf there. Okay, so that's gonna be my last messy one and this is going to be the one that covers everything, so I wanna make this nice and smooth. Again, I'm gonna do a little quick spray just like that, kinda rub it in. It's getting kind of dry. You don't want that

sizzling sound when you're using heat and your curling iron. You're gonna lift it all the way up just like that and go nuts. Take it. Tease a little bit on the back and then you're gonna brush it back just like that and you can kinda see the pouf already. Yeah, next thing is you're gonna either take your comb or your brush and you're just gonna go back in and make sure everything is nice and firm on the base area.

So you just do a quick tease. You can even go upside down and spray the base if you don't trust your hair to be poufy enough. Then I'm gonna take the teased sides, take the back. See how my pouf is there already. It's so simple. So put them up like that. So I didn't really pull this back or anything. It's kinda tucked between my two hair

pieces that I've pulled back. Take your rubber band. And I'm gonna kinda hold my hair a little loose and I'm gonna push that so once it's relaxed, it's gonna have this little lump right there. Okay. Hold it up against your head. You're gonna have it up against your head and you're gonna go like that. And that's it. And that's how you create that little pouf on top. If you don't like it and you want more, again, just fix it a little bit.

Stick your finger in when you're combing through. You know, you can make it as poufy as you want or as low as you want. It's a little much for me, so I'm gonna tone it down a little bit. And that's it. Thanks again for joining me here at pursebuzz.com. Bye-bye.
