Fight It: KFC's Famous Bowl, Mashed Potato
When we first saw the commercials on TV for KFC's Famous Bowls, several things crossed our minds. First, we wondered how a brand-new offering could be called "famous" right out of the gate (a tad presumptuous, no?). Then, our curiosity turned to sheer DISGUST as we watched the fatty ingredients PILE up before our horrified eyes. Mashed potatoes, buttery corn, gravy, fried chicken, AND cheese!?! Yikes! Was this some sort of joke? As unfunny as this monstrosity of a "meal" is, we have to admit it does look pretty delicious (sorry, it just does). That being said, we're not suggesting you do something CRAZY like order one of these from the Colonel (eek!). Instead, just throw together one of HG's KFC-Ya Later Bowls at home. You'll save oodles of calories and fat grams. Yay!

The salt police may not agree, but there's a large school of thought emerging that sodium is not the devil purported to be. In fact, if you don't have high blood pressure, I wouldn't worry about it. Or you could just eat celery for the rest of your life. That works too. http://articles.cnn.com/1998-08-13/health/9808_13_salt.blood.pressure_1_lowfat-dairy-products-salt-intake-magnesium-and-calcium?_s=PM:HEALTH
