
Saute 2 slices chopped bacon and 1 chopped onion; drain fat.

This recipe calls for way too much ground ginger. I would scale it back to 1 tsp. Also I added some brown sugar to sweeten it a little more-- much tastier. Since I followed the recipe the first time with all the ginger, I had to add milk as well to tone down the ginger.
