Cheddar-Herb Bagel Chips

Makes: 4  servings


  • 1 whole-wheat bagel, sliced thin
  • 3/4 cup  finely grated reduced-fat cheddar cheese
  • Dried basil, oregano and chives to taste (or use your favorite herbs)
  • Black pepper


1. In a toaster oven or broiler, toast the bagel slices until crisp. Let cool. In a bowl, combine the cheddar, herbs and black pepper. Press a pinch of the herbed cheddar onto each chip. Toast again until the cheese has melted and the chips are golden. Let cool. (Can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 5 days. Bring to room temperature before serving.)
