Is It Important to Buy Organic Alcohol?

Green expert Sara Snow tells you why it's wise to buy organic alcohol.
Q. Does it matter if I buy organic alcohol?
A. Probably not as much as eating organic food, which has a bigger environmental impact. But it's still better for you and the earth: The grapes, barley, and hops are grown without toxic pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and organic foods, including vino, can be as much as 30 percent higher in antioxidants. Not ready to make the switch? Order draft instead of bottled beer at bars to shrink your footprint.
