i've been feeling very down lately. i'm in my favorite country in the world visiting for about 3 months but I think it's taking a toll on me. I first came here with friends to study abroad and now I'm here with just one person. I'm far from home and I'm not feeling myself. I never ever sleep late and now I sleep until 10/11 every day. I loved running and I almost get anxiety attacks when I go out to run. This is totally not me. Anyone have suggestions for me? :/

It sounds like some of you do not have SAD. It is really hard to get out of bed when you have SAD and not want to sleep during the day. My light box has been a HUGE help! I would recommend everyone who has SAD to get one. It will change your life. I have a blue spectrum light box(Go Lite) from Apollo and have been using for years. It is worth every penny.

Trust me reading and or going to school will help. It keeps my mind busy; i have no time to feel depressed or sad. There are so many things to do and keep our minds and selves busy. I think that is the key keeping busy. :)
