The Playlist for Family Fitness
When my husband and I first started exercising with my son, he was 4 months old, and our activity of choice was dancing. My husband's inspired song choice? "SexyBack," by Justin Timberlake. Groovy for Mom and Dad, not so much for the baby, especially now that he's reaching talking age.
Here at FITNESS, we're huge proponents of dancing away calories. Dancing away calories with your kids? Even better! (Also, it has the same effect as playing fetch with your dog: they're wonderfully excited to do it, and happily tired when it's over.) Here, kid-friendly tunes to dance by, exercise by, and just plain have fun by.
"Clap Your Hands" - They Might Be Giants
"All Around the Kitchen" - Dan Zanes and Loudon Wainwright III
"Bumblebee (Buzz, Buzz)" - Laurie Berkner
"Jump into the Middle" - Charity Khan
"The Hoppity Song" - John Ondrasik
"Bathtub Boy" - The Sugar-Free Allstars
