Are you kidding! An MD gave a treatment before examining the patient. This is a nerve related problem that should be diagnosed. It can come from peripheral nerve compression in the hand or wrist or could be from a cervical spine problem. Get diagnosed before guessing what treatment to do. Nerve injuries can become permanent and disabling. Consult a sports medicine doc before you treat the wrong body part.
