Most one-piece swimsuits are too short for my torso. How can I find one that fits?
Get out your measuring tape and follow this three-point plan from Stacy Finnemore, the women's swimwear corporate merchant for L.L.Bean. First, measure the fullest point of your bust, then the widest part of your hips and, finally, from the highest point of your shoulder down to the top of your thigh. Choose a suit based on these numbers, not your dress size. If you're shopping online, you'll find these measurements listed on the website. In a store, measure swimsuits from top to bottom, adding about half an inch to account for stretch, before you try them on. If they come up short, keep looking.
