The Why: It's spicy, delicious, and low calorie. Pace has been around for more than 60 years, but I would never have guessed they'd come out with a salsa this good.
The Health Bonus: It's so low in calories.
What We Liked Best: All the ingredients can be pronounced by a 10-year-old.
What We Liked Least: Added sugar probably isn't needed at all.
What It Replaces: Fattening dips and sauces.
The Price: $3.49 per 16-ounce bottle.
Other Offerings: Mexican Four Cheese Salsa Con Queso, Pico De Gallo, Triple Pepper Salsa, Tequila Lime Salsa.
Where to Buy: Target, Wal-Mart, major grocery chains nationwide.
Nutrition: Per 2-tablespoon serving: 15 calories, 0.5g fat, 2g carbs, 0g protein, 230mg sodium.
Ingredients: Yellow tomato puree, fresh jalapeno peppers, water, tomatillos, fresh onions, salt, cilantro, canola oil, distilled vinegar, lime juice concentrate, sugar, garlic, smoked paprika, and natural flavoring.
The Why: Yes, they're still chips, but they're on the "good" side of chips. They have no artificial ingredients or preservatives, and nothing that you can't pronounce. All chip varieties are gluten free, cholesterol free, have no trans fats, and do not use genetically modified ingredients.
The Health Bonus: One ounce of chips has 3 grams of fiber. The sesame and flax seeds have lignans, antioxidants for heart health; flax seeds have omega-3 fatty acids, also linked to heart health; and sunflower seeds are a good source of linoleic acid -- an essential fatty acid.
What We Liked Best: The healthy, nutty, off-the-charts flavor. Plus, the company is offering a $1-off coupon on its Web site.
What We Liked Least: They're still high in calories. Make sure to buy only the 1-ounce bags, or at the very least, keep in mind that 10 chips are an ounce.
