If you're wondering what drives Daisy Fuentes when it comes to her body, it's not the opinion of others. At least, not anymore. "That's one of the best things about being older," says Fuentes. "I'm comfortable with who I am, and I don't care about fitting into any specific category or size. I can't say that was always the case." Now, health is her motivating force. "I eat well and exercise regularly because down the road I want to continue to be active," explains the three-peat cover model for FITNESS. For photo shoots, she kicks things up a notch, especially when she'll be posing in a swimsuit. "I added workouts and used weights and a stability ball in my Pilates sessions. It's FITNESS, for God's sake!" says Fuentes, laughing. "I wanted to be as fit as I can be and represent my age well." Mission accomplished. My Workout
"I'm definitely not a cardio-machine girl -- I have a treadmill in my garage, but I don't really use it. I need to be having fun, so I play tennis and go for long hikes in the hills just five minutes from my backyard. With my trainer, we mix it up and do different things, including kickboxing."
"Thin-crust margarita pizza and champagne. One of the reasons I bought my house was because it has a wood-burning oven in which I can make pizza!"My Confidence Secret
"I'm like everyone else. Some days you wake up feeling great about yourself. Some days not so much. My trick is to always do the best I can. It's fortifying knowing you've done everything you could to treat your body right."
