How to Fake Looking Awake

Mask the puffy eyes and sallow skin caused by exhaustion or sleep-deprivation with these easy makeup tricks.
Question: "I get exhausted during the holidays. How Can I fake looking awake?"

Answer: "Create instant vibrancy with shimmering flesh-toned makeup shades," recommends Amanda Shackleton, a New York City makeup artist. Her tips: Fill in your eyelid from lash line to just below the crease with a light brown liner and blend in with your fingertip. Add sparkle with a frosty, similar-tone liner placed in the inner corners of your eyes. Then sweep a sparkly face powder or pale blush just above the cheekbone (from the center of your cheek to the hairline), across brow bones and down the bridge of your nose. To try: Sepia Night Retouch, $26, an all-you-need pencil; Stila All Over Shimmer Powder in *9, $30.
