Low-Cal Sips For Your Golden Globes Viewing Party
Sunday’s Golden Globes officially kick off the big awards show season, with the Emmys, Grammys and Oscars close behind. We’re looking forward to toasting all of the nominees this Sunday with these two cocktails from Nick Van Tiel, U.S. Brand Ambassador for English Gins.
The Iron Lady, inspired by Meryl Streep’s performance in the film with the same name
- 2 parts Plymouth Gin
- 1/2 part grenadine
- 1/2 part fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 part egg white (optional)
Give all the ingredients a good shake, strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a slice of lemon.
Nutrition information per serving: about 140 calories
Take the Reigns, inspired by Steven Spielberg’s hit film War Horse
- 2 parts Beefeater London Dry Gin
- 3/4 parts fresh lime juice
- 1 part ginger beer
- 1/2 part turbinado sugar syrup
- 6 to 8 mint leaves
- Mint sprig to garnish
Shake all ingredients, except the ginger beer, vigorously with ice and strain into an ice-filled Collins glass. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a sprig of mint.

Two Low-Cal, Festive Spritzes to Sip On
As December officially kicks off, it’s time to snap out of your Thanksgiving turkey coma and start prepping for the looming holidays. Skinny Cosmo
Ingredients
- 1.25 ounces Russian Standard Vodka
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce Monin O’Free Triple Sec (sugar free)
- 1 ounce cranberry juice
Directions
Shake all ingredients well over ice. Strain into cocktail glass. Approximately 103 calories.
