But instead of sabotaging her wellness-minded habits, Alyssa enjoys turning comfort foods into nutritious dishes (with a smidge of indulgence on the side). We caught up with this fit blogger to learn more about her dreams of running in a tutu and the Disney classic that powers her through any workout.
5 things I can’t live without: Not including my loved ones, I’d say peanut butter, my iPod, frozen bananas (for smoothies!), Trader Joe’s and my camera.
On my fit life list: Run the Disney Princess Half-Marathon, which I actually just signed up for last week! 13.1 miles in a tutu and tiara, here I come!
I’m happiest when I’m: Running barefoot on the beach at sunrise. It’s the most calming and peaceful feeling I’ve ever experienced.
My biggest indulgence: Homemade ice cream. No matter how full I am, I will always make room for ice cream! I’m almost positive that my stomach has a separate compartment for it.
Most embarrassing song I’ll admit I work out to: “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” from The Lion King soundtrack. It pumps me up when I’m running!
