Averie of Love, Veggies and Yoga has an enthusiastic attitude about fitness and health, and shares stories about everything from her job as a yoga teacher to her favorite active vacations. Her philosophy that good-for-you food doesn’t always have to taste, well, healthy, caught our eye and we were running to the kitchen after searching through all of Averie’s dishes. My fave way to workout: A quick run outdoors and a short but sweet yoga practice indoors. I like to be done with everything in under 45 minutes, tops.
5 things I can’t live without: Sunshine, fresh produce, chocolate, my camera, and most of all, my daughter.
I’m happiest when I’m: On the beach on vacation!
My “I Did It” moment: I entered a fitness competition (bikini class), trained for it on a plant-based diet for 12 weeks, and took second place in my first ever show (and only so far)!
My fitness mantra: “If I am hating this in five minutes, I can quit.” Usually the endorphins kick in and I don’t need the “safety valve” but I always give myself an option out if I’m not super psyched up for a workout.
