Stacy Keibler Spills On Her New Partnership and Her Fitness and Beauty Secrets

If you don’t know Stacy Keibler from her pro wrestling days or currently, an actress/model, maybe this will ring a bell: she’s the statuesque beauty who owns the red carpet and former girlfriend of George Clooney. The woman knows a thing or two about staying fit and looking hot. She recently partnered with Colgate Total to launch their new mouthwash, Colgate Total Advanced Pro-Shield, at “A Wish for a Swish” in Times Square, New York. We caught up with her to find out what the event was all about, then got to pick her brain on her best workout and beauty tips.

Tell us about “A Wish for a Swish” and why you got involved. 
“I partnered up with Colgate Total to launch their new mouthwash and we encouraged people to come out to Times Square to help us break the Guinness Book of World Records for the most people that were simultaneously swishing mouthwash. Colgate has already kicked it off by donating $50,000 dollars to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, but for every person that attended they donated an additional dollar. And for every person that posted a smile picture on their Facebook page, they also donated a dollar, so it’s all for a good cause. I’ve worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for years, so it’s a charity that’s definitely close to my heart. This was such a fun way to raise money for them!”

As a retired professional wrestler, what are some of your best tips for getting and staying fit?
“I think that it’s really important to get your heart rate up everyday. It doesn’t matter if it’s just walking, or doing some jumping jacks as long as you get your blood flowing and sweat a little bit. One of the other things I’ve learned is that it’s really important to have proper form when you’re working out even if that means using weights that might be lower in weight then you think you can actually do; it’s more important to have correct form so that you’re not injuring yourself. And I’m a big, big believer in ‘you are what you eat,’ so I think that above all, it’s really key to become conscious of exactly what you’re putting into your body.”

Acting and modeling keeps you super-busy, how do you manage to fit in your workouts with your schedule?
“I take exercise DVDs with me when I’m traveling. I have all different kinds so I can pop them into my computer in a hotel room, anywhere. And for me, if I can’t find the time to workout, it’s all about what I’m eating and putting into my body. Over the years I’ve sort of experimented with different things and I know what works for my body. Everybody’s different and so different things affect people differently, but I know what works for me.”

Any favorite meals-on-the-go?  
“I actually travel with protein and with a green powder. I have my shaker with me so at anytime, no matter where I am, I can basically have a healthy meal.”

What are some beauty tricks you’ve learned for looking fabulous in front of the camera?
“I think the most important thing is hydration. Having a few ounces of water every half hour is great for anti-aging. If you always keep yourself hydrated it makes your skin look great.”

What beauty essentials are always in your purse?
“Definitely blotting papers! And I always have Lucas’ Papaw Ointment ($15, amazon.com) for my lips. I also have facial sprays that are organic and natural. I love a really hydrating mist that I can just spray on my face when I’m on the go because they make me feel so refreshed.”
