We’d recently gone a tad too long between trims— OK, more like a month too long!— and had shamefully scraggly ends to show for it. Our strand-saving grace: Redken All Soft Argan-6 Multi-Care Oil, a subtly sweet-scented formula that’s more viscous than regular oils, so it’s not runny and messy. We apply a dollop on damp hair after a shower: The argan-packed elixir makes our brittle, frayed ends feel soft and look healthy. It can be used on dry hair as well to tame, smooth and add shine in between washings, or as a rinse-out nourishing treatment.

It’s been a tad too long since we’ve had a haircut, and our ends are showing it! In between appointments, we treat our overextended strands to Smooth ‘n Shine Therapy Scalp & Breakage Miracle Leave-In Treatment Conditioner: Most days, it’s the only product we leave in our hair. It nourishes and repairs with jojoba oil and wheat protein without feeling heavy or greasy. It’s a bargain at $4—and the faint take-me-away coconut aroma doesn’t hurt, either. What’s your favorite leave-in hair product?
