Every October, beauty companies create products that not only help women look gorgeous (we all know the power of a lipstick!), but more importantly, help fight the battle against breast cancer. Checkout a few of our favorite pink picks on shelves this month that are guaranteed to help you look good and feel even better.
For the makeup obsessed:
Sonia Kashuk Proudly Pink Five-Piece Purse Brush Set ($16, target.com)
Yes, these pink bristle brushes will look adorable displayed on your vanity (and chic in their sleek black travel case) but they’ll also meet all of your makeup application needs by swiping on powder, blush, bronzer, concealer, eyeshadow and liner seamlessly. As a breast cancer survivor herself, makeup artist Sonia Kashuk knows the significance of supporting such an amazing cause, which is why 15 percent of the sales benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
For the fragrance fanatic:
Evelyn Lauder Dream Solid Perfume Compact ($50, esteelauder.com available through 6/30/14 while supplies last)
Pleasures’ fans, you’re in luck. The iconic floral scent now comes housed in a glossy, Pink Ribbon design compact that’s perfect to toss in your purse or gym bag (read: no spillage!). Most impressive: 100 percent of sales will go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. In addition, the Estée Lauder Companies is launching their BCA campaign—Let’s Defeat Breast Cancer. We’re Stronger Together.—with hopes of raising $5 million worldwide. Get involved by creating your “Circle of Strength” by visiting their website here, which will then link to your Facebook friends and watch three inspiring breast cancer survivors’ uplifting videos here.
For the DIY nail artist:
OPI Pink of Hearts 2013 Polish Duo ($16, ulta.com)
The nail art possibilities are endless with this year’s Pink of Hearts’ set, which includes Pinking of You (a sheer pink) and More than a Glimmer (a new silver glitter and multi-colored flecked hue) along with 10 pink ribbon stickers and 10 crystal decals. OPI is donating $25,000 in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to Susan G. Komen plus $5,000 to Rethink Breast Cancer in Canada.
For the lipstick lover:
Clinique Pink with a Purpose ($15, sephora.com)
The company whipped up a limited edition shade of Almost Lipstick fittingly named Pink Ribbon Honey that glides on sheer and delivers a soft pink that flatters every skintone. Stash it in the coordinating mini pouch along with your cards. An incentive to buy more than just one (and stock up on holiday gifts): Clinique will donate $3 from each purchase to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
For the skincare junky:
GlamGlow Cure Sexy YouthMud ($69, sephora.com)
One of Sephora’s top-sellers is getting a girly (pink) makeover for October. Filled with clay, pumice rock particles and pieces of green tea leaf, 10-minutes with this face mask slathered on your skin will leave it even and glowing. Buy in bulk: GlamGlow will donate 25 percent of its profits to The National Breast Cancer Foundation.
For the grooming goddess:
Tweezerman 2013 Precision in Pink Slant Tweezer ($22, tweezerman.com)
Now’s the prime time to chuck your dull tweezers and upgrade to this limited edition pink version that’s adorned with the Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon and a Swarovski crystal sure to glam up any tool kit (and serve as a reminder to do a monthly breast exam). The brand will donate $1 from each purchase to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the CEW Cancer and Careers organizations among other charities throughout the country.
For the long hair lover:
Pantene Beautiful Lengths Collection ($4-$6, drugstore.com)
Suds up with this strand-strengthening shampoo and conditioner (keep the 2-in-1 in your gym bag), tame fuzz with the finishing crème and treat locks to the moisturizing mask once a week. And if you’re ready to make a chop, you can donate your length to someone in need. For more info., visit click here. Pantene will donate over $500,000 to create free, real-hair wigs for women undergoing cancer treatments, which are distributed at select American Cancer Society wig banks.

October marks Breast Cancer Awareness month, which means companies are churning out beauty products that not only help you look good but do good, too. We’ve spent the past few weeks sifting through them. Here are our faves:
Ahava Hope Blossoms Mineral Bath Salts ($22 for 32oz., ahavaus.com). Sprinkle a capful of these white floral-scented salts into a warm bath to soothe achy muscles after a tough workout. Even better than the spa-like effect: Ahava will make a 10% donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in support of their mission to help fund research and promote education and early detection.
Nails Inc. Nail Lacquer in Pinkie Pink ($9.50, sephora.com). This is the perfect way to show your support—right down to your fingertips. Paint just one nail (like your pinky) with this metallic pink polish to add extra sparkle to your manicure. $1 from every sale will be donated to Breast Cancer Campaign.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick ($3, drugstores). Meet a great multi-tasker to toss in your gym bag. Use it as lip balm, body balm or rub a little between your fingertips to tame pesky flyaways. Palmer’s will donate 15% of sales of specially-marked Palmer’s products (with a minimum donation of $100,000) to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.
Stila Positively Pink Set ($18, stilacosmetics.com). The adorable pink ribbon blush adds just the right amount of pink to your cheeks to fake a post-workout flush. Top off your look with a swipe of shimmery lip glaze and you’re good to go. $1 from every purchase will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.
Clinique Great Skin, Great Cause Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion ($36, clinique.com). This cult classic facial moisturizer is not only super light and hydrating, but it comes with an adorable charm key ring. $10 from every sale of this limited-edition product will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® while supplies last.
