Favorite Find Friday: Pooka Pure & Simple Fresh Sugah Whipped Cream

We’ll admit it: We’re suckers for beauty products that smell like all manner of sweets— coconut, vanilla, chocolate; we don’t discriminate! The scents, when authentic, conjure up visions of candy bars, cupcakes, and ice cream, and provide a calorie-free way to satisfy our sugar cravings. Our latest love, Pooka Pure & Simple Fresh Sugah Whipped Cream, is a body moisturizer that smells delightfully, but not overwhelmingly, like our grandma’s buttercream frosting. And the texture actually resembles dessert: It’s fluffy and close to, well, whipped cream. The formula contains only shea butter, soybean oil, vitamin E, fragrance, and essential oils, so it feels silky, not sticky and leaves skin supersoft.

Favorite Find Friday: Aveda Stress Fix Body Lotion

Summer’s supposed to be filled with backyard barbecues and lazy afternoons at the beach, but the reality is that most days we can’t escape our desks. This week has been especially crazy, so we’ve turned to the bottle of Aveda Stress Fix Body Lotion we keep next to our computer to calm our senses. We smooth it all over our arms and legs during the day to not only keep them soft with shea butter and sunflower oil, but also ease tension with an intoxicating mix of organic lavender and clary sage essential oils. Try smoothing it on before bed, too, to wind down after a long day.

Favorite Find Friday: Giorgio Armani Rouge D’Armani Lipstick in 103

They say if you stop looking for love, it’ll come when you least expect it. The adage holds true in beauty, too: We gave up on our long, unsuccessful quest for the perfect nude lipstick— and then a makeup artist painted Giorgio Armani Rouge D’Armani Lipstick in 103 on our pout. It was love at first swipe. The medium-coverage, moisturizing bullet is the perfect balance between beige and rose: It’s not so neutral that we look washed out, yet it’s a far cry from bubblegum pink. The luxurious, creamy texture blends seamlessly into our natural lip color, so we don’t need a mirror to apply. And the sleek case has a fun magnetic closure, making us even more inclined to whip it out.

Favorite Find Friday: L’Occitane Eau Captivante Cologne

OK, so L’Occitane Eau Captivante Cologne isn’t gym bag-friendly by any stretch of the imagination, but indulge us: The green-tinged, light-as-air spritz smells addictively like freshly cut mint and basil muddled with lime and orange, warmed up with a bit of lavender (yes— it somehow manages to be earthy, tart, sweet and soft all at the same time). The stunning, hefty art deco-esque etched-glass bottle reminds us of a vintage heirloom and instantly becomes the focal point of any vanity. Plus, at 10.1 fluid ounces, it’s like a Costco-sized bottle off perfume, and as such, should last you far beyond summer.

Favorite Find Friday: Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream

Being a beauty editor forces us to be fickle— new launches to test arrive at our desks every day— so very few products become mainstays in our arsenal. One that’s remained unmatched over the years is Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream. The lightweight olive oil-based formula has the miraculous ability to instantly turn our strands from straw to silk. We use it as a leave-in conditioner or work a dime-sized amount over dry strands to smooth and add shine, making split ends disappear and even the most abused hair (like ours) look healthy again.

Favorite Find Friday: MAC Cosmetics Paint Pot in Groundwork

Our summer makeup bags house only the toughest humidity defenders— think mattifying primers, cheek stains, and tubing mascara. MAC Cosmetics Paint Pot in Groundwork is sure to maintain its makeup bag real estate through Labor Day. The double-duty eye primer/eye shadow combo doesn’t budge: Not even a hot yoga class can make it crease (we’ve tried!). The taupey-nude creates a veil of subtle definition over our lids while the slightest hint of shimmer brings out the tiny flecks of color in our irises. Best of all, our 6PM touch-up ritual is no longer needed.

Favorite Find Friday: Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel

It’s rare that a facial treatment product produces immediate, noticeable results. Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel is one of the few exceptions. We smooth the faintly citrus-scented glycolic acid cream-gel over our face, leave it on for ten minutes you’ll feel a bit of tingling then rinse to reveal a complexion that’s so vibrant and glowy it’s almost reflective, but with none of the redness or irritation normally associated with peels. Our time-saving trick: Slather it on before you step in the shower so it works while you wash, then rinse before you get out.

Favorite Find Friday: Tocca Eau de Parfum Viaggio Coffret

If you’re on the hunt for the perfect Mother’s Day gift, there’s no more elegant, charming choice than Tocca Eau de Parfum Viaggio Coffret, an adorable trio of three of the brand’s most popular fragrances in miniature vintage-looking bottles that make lovely additions to any vanity or on-the-go bag. The three scents are warm Colette, with jasmine and musk; feminine Giulietta, bursting with florals like rose, lilac, lily and iris; and fresh Bianca, a mix of bergamot, lavender, lemon and green tea. And the gilded box is so gorgeous it requires no more wrapping than the quick tie of a bow.

Favorite Find Friday: Estée Lauder Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator

We’ve been suffering from major spring allergies here in New York City and our undereye area has taken a beating from the incessant itching and dryness. Our salvation in a tube is Estée Lauder Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator— the brightening cream/concealer hybrid is dispensed through a ceramic applicator that feels cool on contact, so it relieves itchy eye pain as it hydrates crepey skin, soothes irritation, minimizes puffiness with caffeine, and light diffusers make the eye area look refreshed. The slim, lightweight tube is easy to tote anywhere, so we blend it over makeup whenever we have the urge to rub our eyes or they’re looking particularly parched.
