Here's the deal: If applied correctly, SPF 15 blocks 93 percent of UVB rays, SPF 30 stops about 97 percent and SPF 50 obstructs 98 percent. Go any higher and there's a barely detectable increase in the level of protection. End quote: This is funny, in another posting all the 'top' products are spf 70 or so.
7/4/2010 06:13:41 PM Report AbuseI thought that while makeup that has spf factors are better than NO sunscreen, people rarely put enough on to truly get the spf benefit...therefore apply sunscreen first, wait 5 minutes for your skin to absorb it, and THEN apply make-up. I like Coppertone Sport for faces, it is non-greasy sunscreen, and doesn't have much fragrance.
