1. Soften delicate skin. Use a conditioning treatment that contains natural botanicals like shea butter (try Peter Thomas Roth Lips to Die For, $25, sephora.com). "When lips are hydrated, color goes on evenly and lasts longer," says Uzo.
2. Create the illusion of dimension. Apply a pearly illuminator like NARS The Multiple in Copacabana ($36.50, narscosmetics.com) directly above the indent of lip's V-shape. "The highlighter creates luminosity and gives lips a lift," explains Guerra.
3. Add shine. "Shiny lips always look smoother and fuller," says Uzo. Wear an intense-shine gloss alone (try Biotherm Glossy Shine Luminous Crystal Gloss in 50, $11, biotherm-usa.com), or dab on a clear coat in the center over lipstick.
