Michele Olson, PHD, FACSM, CSCS has a Ph.D. in Research Physiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine. She is a Professor of Exercise Physiology and a research physiologist by training. An avid exerciser and former college athlete (tennis), Dr. Olson's love of movement divides her time between her professor duties at Auburn University Montgomery and teaching Pilates and Kettlebells; her favorite forms of "core-intense" activity. Her landmark research on Pilates and body image gained her international attention. She is a former Reebok Master Trainer and on the Editorial board for journals such as the ACSM Health and Fitness Journal.
