Am I eating enough to fuel my workouts?

How do I know if I'm eating enough for my workout routine? I normally eat breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and dinner but my family members still fell I'm not eating enough because I seem tired all the time. I workout about 20-30 min a day, 6 days a week, in constantly varied workout class that uses cardio and weight lifting. How do I know I am supplying enough fuel for my body?

You assess your energy levels, check to see what your weight is doing (are you losing?  Maintaining?) and figure out your goals.  Also, how is your sleep and the rest of your daily activities?  There's a ton off factors that play a role in general fatigue in addition to food alone.

Using a calorie counter that also counts your activity is a great way to keep track of your eating. I like to keep in mind that if you are wanting to gain muscle and lose weight, you want to snack more often than eat meals. My meal plan is the same as yours (breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner) but I make sure that my two snacks are fairly large. Sometimes I'll snack on half a baked sweet potato with cinnamon and cottage cheese. Being fueled is key to sustaining energy!
