How many calories should I be eating in order to lose a significant amount of fat? I'm 5'6 and 190 lbs. I split train. I workout 5-6 days per week: 1h 30min of weight training and about 25 minutes HIT training on the treadmill per workout. I've been following this wokout method for about two months and I change it up often. I have been eating about 1500 calories per day and was wondering if this is too much or too little.
My question back to you would be -- are you lose weight? Have you weighed yourself? From a research perspective, you should be losing if you're in fact sticking to that 1500 calories or so per day. I'd also want you to consider the quality of everything you're eating. Quality of calories is just as important as quantity.
